This can happen even on expensive MP3 players. It has happened on my Sony MP3 player a few times.

As suggested let the batteries run out and then fully charge it and see if that fixes it.

If it does not go to the ur players website and see if they have more recent firmware for it. Double check that you can connect it to the PC perfectly fine and install the new firmware. It is quite possible a new firmware will fix the problem.

dont forget to rate me...

good luck.....

My apple ipod will function

The battery is dead and needs to be revived or replaced if it is completely dead which most likely the case. It is clearly indicated by the iPod working only when a power supply is connected. It doesn't power up when not connected to a power supply because it doesn't get any power from the battery and the battery doesn't charge too.

Missing mp3's in music folder

try using windows media player and sync it, perhaps the ipod is failing to update the playlist. this is most likely the case if you can still locate the files when connected to the computer.

Hang-up

Hi, when a apple i pod freezes and refuse to function, it means that the i pod memory has stop working due to an application you installed in the i pod.

To rectify this problem, you will need to flash the i pod for the memory to start working properly.

Flashing an i pod helps you restore lost memory. After flashing the i pod, you can now start using it again as normal.

Take care.

I was listening to one of the songs on my ipod

Try simple codes like 1234 or 0000 or however many digits you have... usually 4-5. If your iPod is new from factory, the security code might have never been changed and would've been the default password. Usually like 1234 etc. If they don't work, try calling Apple customer care and check if they can help. You will need some proof of purchase so Apple knows that you are the rightful owner of the iPod.

MSK

My kid was playing with it and now i cant unlock

Hello :

Connect your iPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one iPod synced with), and open iTunes. When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked.
If you can't unlock iPod using either [the code or connecting it to the computer you use to manage its songs]. . . you can restore your iPod to factory settings using iPod Updater. Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod. Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your iPod.

good luck .

You have a bad battery. It is possible to overcharge and burn out an Ipod battery. Take it to the Ipod store, that is your only solution.
