Reset bios cmos

Read the PDF in the link below on page #3 listed as JBAT1. Open your case and locate the CMOS reset pins. Move the reset jumper from current position (usually Pins 1+2) to reset position (usually pins 2+3) Power on the computer and hit keyboard key (F10) to get to the Bios and check if Bios was reset.. Consider that password protection will not normally be removed on CMOS reset, you will need to ask HP or look around the internet for a way to reset a password protected Bios. My cpu power switch a problem

dx2300 Microtower (power shuts off) only 3 things cause self turn off.
  1. PSU bad or is overloaded, we bench test it or in place test it, ask . its easy jumper to do that.
  2. THE mobo sees gross errors; Like overheated CPU or fans dead. and commands the PSU to off, state. to save it from damage.
  3. and The OS (unstated by you) is corrupted and does a commanded SOFT POWER OFF.
that covers all ways. that no monitor monitor to me tells me, the VGA GPU chip/card is failing or you do not have full power to it (DC power) all that matters is the self turn off cause remove the HDD , if it still self turns off the proves, #3 is NOT IT. ever clean this beast? http://www.pcdied.com/overheated.html make sure heat sinks not falling off and fans (ALL Of them) are not packed in lint, my DX has 3 fans, all are tachmeter monitored. PSU fan, CPU fan and a GPU fan (GTX card there) alway eheck all fans with eyes, not just sound. they most blow. air. does the cd eject? if not power is gone. or weak. power can be good/bad or weak,,(it really is an analog world) for NOISY. the jumper test is here. 16>17 http://www.pcdied.com/power.html#Jumper

My gateway dx4860 ub33p is making 1 long continuous beep at start up not showing anything

Unplug power cable Hold down the power button for 10 seconds then remove power cable from the back of the computer and plug it back in. try plug it directly to another outlet that long continuous beep is a power issue if you originally had it plugged into a power protector or multiplug connect it the outlet directly to get better power.

I Friend is trying to Recover his HP Pavilian

Hello,

Just try best file recovery tool which will help you to recover files from Windows hard drive. Couple of days ago, even I was stuck under similar situation and was thinking how to recover deleted files in Windows 7? Then I tried best file recovery software which really helped me to get back all my important data stored on the Windows hard drive. I think you should also try the software once.

Good luck,

How to connect blackberry playbook to desktop running on windows

Hi,Friends...You can connect blackberry to desktop. no any issue flow instruction.>Note: Make sure you have the BlackBerry Desktop Software/ Device Manager installed first. Before you continue. Well, it didn't take me long to figure out the issue. All you have to do is unplug the Playbook, go to your Settings > Storage & Sharing (Make sure "File Sharing" is switched to "ON) > Switch "Wi-Fi Sharing to "OFF" > Select "Connect to Windows" under "USB Connections" drop menu. Go back to your BB Desktop Software. Go to, Tools > Refresh iTunes Album Art. (Note: It can take a few minutes depending iTunes Library size) Plug your BlackBerry Playbook back to your PC through the USB connection, wait for it to load and you should be able to Sync your Files. Thanks

Computer starts but moniter stays in sleep mode .. moniter works on different comp .. will adding a vid card to my comp fix this problem ??

Actually, Yes. It seems like you have answered your own question... Especially considering the monitor works on another computer. Do you have another monitor to test on this computer?Although another consideration could be if you recently installed or downloaded a program which may have changed your video output range to a setting your video monitor wont handle. If this is the case and you can start the computer in safe mode, this will allow you to go into your properties settings and change it back. This way, a new vid card is not req.Good Luck

My hp-compaq dx2300 microtower wont start

I don't doubt it. No drivers listed for Windows 7,http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?prodNameId=3352968&taskId=135&cc=us&lang=en&prodSeriesId=3352967&prodTypeId=12454[Drivers: Small pieces of software that allow the Operating System to communicate with a device.O/S in question is Windows 7.Device in question is everything inside the computer, or will be connected to it.People,........look to see if your computer will support Win7, BEFORE trying to install it. See if drivers are available first ]You MIGHT try using the drivers for Vista. I have READ they may interchange.-> R-E-A-DMakes me FAR from an expert on this subject. No practical experience with it.I ONLY see drivers for a 32-bit Vista, however. If you have Win7 64-bit, it won't work.Regards, joecoolvette

My computer turns off automatically with light on keyboard and motherboard

HP Compaq dx2300 Desktop PC?http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Home.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=12454&prodSeriesId=3352967&lang=en&cc=us90 percent of desktop computer failure, cab be attributed to;A) The computer is dirty inside, to include the Power Supply.B) The Power Supply is badSuggest you start with cleaning the inside of the computer out, but suspect the real problem is the Power Supply. Why?Because the CD-ROM is not working.Primer:Your Power Supply converts your household/business AC electricity, into 3 low main DC Voltages.Depending on your country;USA = 120 Volts ACEurope = 220 Volts ACAustralia = 220 Volts ACJapan = 100 Volts ACThis is converted into 3 low DC Voltages for the computer;A) 3.3 Volts (DC)B) 5 Volts (DC)C) 12 Volts DCEach of the above is a voltage power rail. The amperage for each power rail is stated on a label, on the Power Supply.Voltage times Amperage = WattageAgain, Voltage x Amperage = WattageAll of the amperage of the voltage power rails are combined, (Added together), to equal the maximum Wattage, the Power Supply will deliver. This should be stated on the Power Supply label also.A) IF, all of the LED lights were on at once, they would use less than 1 Watt of power.B) EACH fan uses 2 to 3 Watts of power.C) A typical Processor can use 51 to 125 Watts of power.[ Intel Pentium Dual Core E2160? Can use up to 65 Watts,http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Intel_Pentium_Dual-Core_microprocessors#.22Allendale.22.2C_.22Conroe.22_.2865_nm.29 ]You press the Power On button. This in turn presses against a Power On switch,http://www.directron.com/atxswitch.htmlThis in turn, activates the Soft Power On feature of the Power Supply, and turns it on.The first chipset to receive power is the BIOS chipset. The BIOS program looks to see what devices are connected, does a Ram Memory count, turns the Processor on, then hands the computer over to the Operating System.[ Windows XP and Windows 7, are two examples of an O/S ]Primer over.Your Power Supply provides enough power to turn the Processor on, then falls to it's knees. Doesn't have enough power to keep the Processor on.[ A typical CD/DVD drive requires 15 Watts of power. It isn't there when all of the other hardware needs power first ]Suggest you find a Power Supply that is KNOWN to be good, and COMPATIBLE, for a test unit. Or you can test the 3 main voltage's coming out of the Power Supply, with a Multimeter set to DC Voltage.Or you can just replace the Power Supply.I would prefer you test with another unit, or test the voltages, before you spend your hard earned money. It's up to you.Diagnose the problem first. I could be wrong with the above, but if you diagnose using a test unit, or test the voltages, we will know whether the Power Supply is the problem.Always start with the power First.Perhaps there is an unused computer you may have access to, and can borrow it's Power Supply for a test unit. Has to be KNOWN to be good, and has to be COMPATIBLE.What is Compatible? Means it has to have at least the minimum power cables, and the Power Supply must fit in the computer case.(It is an ATX power supply)Need recommendations for a Power Supply, post in a Comment. Also will step by step guide you in replacing.Regards, joecoolvette

Not connecting to the internet from the etenet cable

First of all look at the back of the computer where the ethernet cable plugs in and see if it is lit up. If you see not light then the network card or the cable might be bad. Let's start with Internet Options. If you have Windows XP Click Start/Control Panel/Internet Options. If you have Windows Vista or Windows 7 click Start/Control Panel/Network and Internet/Internet Options. When the Internet Options window opens on the General Tab make sure you have a valid web address as the Home Page. If not, create a simple Home Page by typing: http://www.google.com You don't have to click OK now because if you do the Internet Options window will close. Click the Security Tab and under where it says "select a zone to view or change settings" Click on the one that says Internet, then scroll down to near the bottom right and make sure that DEFAULT is grayed out (whereas you cannot click on it). You can Click on Default just to be sure. Next click the Intranet so that it is highlighted and make sure DEFAULT is grayed out so that you cannot click on it. Do the same thing for the other two zones (Trusted Sites and Restricted Sites). After all zones under the Security Tab are set to Default click the next Tab which is the Privacy tab. On the Privacy Tab you want to make sure that DEFAULT is grayed out, if not click on it. When in doubt just click the Default tab. Next skip over the Content tab and proceed to click the Connections Tab. On the Connections Tab make sure that the Never Dial A Connection is checked if you have something in the white box above it in for Dialup and Virtual Private Networks settings. Look down on the right near the bottom and Click the LAN SETTINGS button. When Lan Settings open up the only box that should be checked is the very first box that says: Automatically Detect Settings. If any other box is checked remove the check from it or you will never be able to connect. Click OK to close the LAN SETTINGS tab. Next skip over the Programs tab and click the Advanced tab. When it opens slide the blue bar on the right all the way down until you get to the bottom of the window. You want to be able to make sure that if you see something like (Use SSL 2.0, Use SSL 3.0, Use TSL 1.0) that you put a check in the box to the left of each one of them. Afterwards you can click OK to close the Internet Options Window. Next lets go boot your computer in Safe Mode. Go to www.google.com and in the search box type:"Download cnet Malwarebytes" (without the quotes). Download andinstall malwarebytes from the sites download.cnet/malwarebytes. When the site opens up click on the Green Download button on the left. Do not click the Red Download button, that's junk. When it finishes installing the Gui Interface will open up with an offer to Accept a Trial Version or Decline. CLICK DECLINE you want the totally free version. Run a QUICK SCAN. As it scans, if it finds infections the number will be in red. When it finishes scanning, click SHOW RESULTS. A notepad text document will open up showing you the results. You can close the text document and go back to the Gui Interface where you will click

I suggest to download all 3 of them from the hp support and try them one by one ..and restart after each successful installation and see if the card works or not .

Please i have downloaded HP

select the correct drivers for the operation system you have in use..and will work ..if your issue is related with the windows 7 ..this can be fixed if you change the compatibility in the properties of each set-up file ..and select to work in compatibility with the operation system it was made for ..So just download the drivers again ...make sure you get the correct model and operation system ..run them one by one ..and it had to work cause it what they are made for ..restart after each installing ..If you run windows xp ..for the audio driver install first the UAA architect driver ...I believe it is on the downloads...too and after that run the Hd driver one ..otherwise will not work ..Please explain more about your operation system and I will comment on future information ..here are the drivers again ..I took a look and from what you say I think you have windows xp ..and see that there are 3 kinda drivers for LAN card ..so try them one by one if you do not remember the name of yours..and for the audio I was right ..select the architect driver first and download and install just before running the high definition one ..cause otherwise will not find your device ..http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=3352968&prodTypeId=12454&prodSeriesId=3352967&swLang=13&taskId=135&swEnvOID=1093
