Will not print black only. Changed ink cartridge 3 times, performed all maintenance repeatedly, but will still not print black ink.
Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent blocked print head nozzles. You may have blocked print head nozzles. Try the printer maintenance to clear the printer nozzles. After several deep cleaning attempts and there is no improvements in the print then a new print head is required. Also try - Removing the print head, run it under hot water for 2 mins, then let soak for 10 min. then used a can of compressed air to dry thoroughly. It may fix the blocked nozzles. A new print head maybe expensive and it maybe more cost effective to purchase a new printer.

Paper jam error but no
If you previously had a paper jam and you are getting this error, make sure there are no small pieces of paper left behind. The printer will detect this and give this error. If the machine is clean, try unplugging it from your outlet and then plug it back in. It should clear the error.
I hope this information helps you,
Thank you,
Nico

When the paper is fed
The most likely cause of the problem is an obstruction on the left side of the paper path - most likely a shred of paper from a previous jam. You can estimate where to look by how far the paper goes in before it starts to twist to the side. Sometimes I've had to use a dental pick to snag a shred buried deep inside as an alternative to dismantling the printer. You may find it helpful to use a small mirror to look underneath or behind rollers while you search for the culprit.
Another possibility is one side of a dual pickup roller (two rollers on a single shaft) is worn out. That is unlikely; except for large format units most printers use a single pickup roller.

Paper jam
Pape jams is caused by either a physical jam or an unknown printer error to determine which one is it follow this steps.
1.If it just came out of the box make sure that before you turn it on of connect to the computer that all tapes has been removed and no foreign objects is within the printer when you lift up the scanner part of the unit.
2. It may not make sense but one of the common mistakes is that the left side of the printer is not being check throughly I would like you to double-check in the area.
3. Lastly, if you really don't see anything that maybe cause this error message unfortunately, I would recommend that you contact Epson or the place where you have purchased it to get a replacement. Its not advisable that you tear apart the printer becuase that woukd void the manufacturer's one-year warranty.

For sending multi-page fax, I
That could be many things. Check your feed rails are tight against the paper. Also make sure you are not
overloading the feed. For other suggestions go here -

I misplace my installation disk for my cx9400fax
You need the driver and accompanying software for your printer, which you can find on Epson's website. Go to this link:
http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supDetail.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=yes&oid=90753&infoType=Downloads
Select the operating system you use, either Windows or Macintosh. After you've done that, select the right combo pack for your operating system version. Windows is divided into 32-bit and 64-bit drivers. Macintosh has a "one size fits all" package. Download and install the appropriate file, then restart your computer. Your printer should work. Good luck!

Just replaced black cartridge and it's still not
Hi
I suggest to remove the cartridge and rub the print head into a plain paper with rubbing alcohol until ink flows. The print the print nozzle for 2 times. Then try to print again.
If not, dip it into a hot water for 5 minutes and then rub it again in a paper with rubbing alochol.
Run the print cleaning maintenance like print nozzle and then try to print again.
If not, you need to go to printing preferences and check the box GRAYSCALE in the print quality.
Please let me know if you need more help.

I just replaced my blue cartridge a couple weeks
The printer could be reading the cartidge wrong, if i were you i would just keep using the blue one until you see it stop printing blue on your papers. If it stops quickly, then you probably need to check your printer settings to see if you have it set to print the color black using a mix of your colored ink cartridges.
Thumbs up if this helps!
Thanks
