Action to fix Error Code 6A00
Hi
Error 6A00
The 6A00 is a Canon generic code for paper path jam.
Solution 1:
Move the printhead carriage back and forth a few times.
Solution 2:
Check the purge unit: Moving the print head assembly will not clear a purge unit if its jammed with paper, paper clips, push pins, screws, cookie crisp, flower bud pods or the like.
Solution 3:
Press the ink pads down in the purge unit.
All I ask is please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

Just replaced ink cartridge and still says cjeck
did you get a brand name canon pg40 or pg 50 ink cartridge, i replaced the one at works black cartridge with an eco refilled cartridge and it still showed up empty even though i know it wasn't. its canons way of making sure you buy canon. there are ways around it though. hit menu navigate to "rx settings" hit okay then hit okay on "autoprint rx" make sure it is set to on and hit okay, then make sure "print when no ink" is also set to on and hit okay again. it will now automatically print even if the machine thinks there is little or no ink. cheaper knock off cartridges here we come!
