I have a Mio P550 Digi walker. How do you open the

I removed the rubber infill that covered a hidden screw. Released screw and then removed back plate. Removing the battery then required care as it is stuck with two sided tape to the Mio internals. Here I used a knive to prise/cut free.

I need the manual io use it as MP-3 player.

try using it without a manual this way you can not get something wrong unless it is very doubtful. and you will tend to get use to it quicker

Cannot start my pda p 550 window .suspect os

try to restore it to the last working state, remove all cables, slide the switch to off position, wait 1 minute and slide it back on.
once it opens, make a clean boot to erase the errors encountered by your pda and restore it back to its factory setting.

How to open mio P560 for changing battery

I have just replaced my battery in my Mio p560. On the back of the Mio at the top - remove the two small rubber bungs, you will see the screws underneath. On the back at the bottom you must remove the alluminium strip to get at the remaining two screws. This is the only tricky bit! The strip has the hole for the pointer on the right, with a small screwdriver prise up the LEFT side of the strip, it is stuck down but will come if you are gentle! Then you can detatch the strip at the right side. The two bottom screws will be under this strip. remove the four screws now. The FRONT of the Mio can then be separated from the back, it just clips along the sides. The battery can then be got at and exchanged. When you re-assemble make sure the on/off switch locates properly. Thats it! Regards David Harford

if you have xp you will need to download microsoft active sync from www.microsoft.com and if you have vista you will need microsoft sync centre, these will be the latest versions and should work fine good luck

It sounds like the device is not reading the ROM card at all. This most likely is not a home type fix. Check your warranty and see if there is a solution there.

Shut down and looses the date and the hour

Your battery is dead...replace it or see if it's still connected to it's connector( by removing the battery cover that have one screw hidden )
