Maybe, It doesn't work because the driver you installed is for other versions of operating system. I am also using windows 7 like you so don't you worry, You can still use your old installer/driver from other versions of operating systems. Just remember that before installing any program in a windows 7 Operating System Computer, Use "troubleshoot compatibility". Right Click the Icon of your program installer first, then choose "troubleshoot compatiblity". This will allow you to choose on what type operating system your program will run. Just reply back if it still doesn't work.:Djulyallan01_16.jpg

the batteries are most likey defective, this causes an internal drain, the batteries in these devices last about two years, less if u run them dead allot. My suggestion is you replace the battery pack.

Hi. You should tap the screen with the stylus carefully and with a little bit more pressure, accurately on the cross sign evertime it appears. When you successfully tap each cross sign once, you would be able to pass to the other settings, but in case there is a problem passing though the screen aligning, here is a small tutorial about how to bypass that screen through your PC: (http://goatechno.blogspot.com/2008/12/windows-mobile-stuck-at-screen.html) Hope this helps.

Hi. I'm afraid your device does nor supports Windows Mobile 5. You can see the details of your device here: (http://www.pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=159). And also, Acer n35's RAM and ROM is quite low for operating Windows Mobile 5, because in WM5, usage technology of RAM and ROM is completely different. If you want to give the same look of WM5 to WM2003, you can use the WisBar Advance software. Hope this helps.

All memory on the n35 is powered by the n35 - if it goes completely dead, I usually leave it for a few weeks for the battery to completely flatten then check hard reset switch is off and recharge.

I removed the front cover and found that the touchscreen connector ribbon to the main board had come adrift. I reconnected it and hey presto I'm fully operational once again.

Hey,

it sounds like the battery is dead or disconnected.

replacing the battery would most likely fix the problem, I would inspect the old one and its connectors.

heres the cheapest battery I found, look around ebay

some firewalls, like zone-alarm can cause problems with active sync.

maybe you should try it once with a deactivated firewall,
or change your firewall settings, so that the following ports are available:

• 990 (RAPI) • 999 (Status) • 5721 (DTPT) • 5678 (Legacy Replication) • 5679 (Handshake & Legacy Replication) • 26675 (Airsync)

you have to finish the alignment procedure first.

that means you have to click 5 times with your stylus on the little cross that shows up in the upper left corner

after each click it will move to another corner,
for the last time it will move to the middle of the screen,

then you're done

maybe tomtom asks for the 'device id' instead?

To find the device id go to 'Start/Settings' select the 'System' page, then select the 'About' icon. Select the 'Device ID' and you see it in the 'Device name' field.
