JVC Video camera GZ-HD7U does not run off of new (tested GOOD) batteries. Only runs off direct plugin. Is there a fuse or something I can fix to have it run off the battery? Don't suggest new batterie

Does the battery make good contact with the pins in the camera? Try putting a bit of pressure on it or move it etc to see if the unit comes to life, if it does even momentarily you have a loose connection at one of the pins. Since you have a second identical camera check the continuity reading between all the pins on the good camera and then the bad and compare the two should be exactly the same. If not there's an internal problem wit the unit.
