You should run the camera in to a camera repair facility, and see what they think. I would think a ribbon connector might need reseating, which would require disassembly. Get an estimate before having it fixed, since it can be high.

Hi Violet. I'm afraid I don't have any good news about this kind of problem, and I'll tell you why. When the cam won't focus, it's usually a problem with the lens assembly, and the fact that you can't zoom verifies that. There are a lot of small plastic parts in the lens assembly that can break easily, or get jammed. When that happens, service is required on the unit, to replace the broken part, or reset the assembly, but often they just replace the whole lens assembly. Is it still under some kind of warranty? In that case, I would have to looked at. If you do choose to get it fixed, and you have no warranty, get an estimate first. Repair costs can be high, and at that point you have to decide whether to repair it, or get another cam. Wish I had better news for you, but hope this helps in your decision of what to do next. unlock sd card first

use analog AV out and connect it to the input of your pc,if there's not any try to connect it with a usb input adapter buy in the nearest pc shop.very cheap.,

AV out must be composite connection not S-video

it's not very clear if it is a software malfunction or hardware,so i recommend to you to visit local service center.In my opinion this is hardware problem in rear operation unit .
