4 SDHC 8GB Card Error that"this card cannot be used to record or edit" What can I do? Thanks!

The message is clear. You cannot use the card. You can check the manufacturer's website to see if there a new firmware. If there, is update the firmware (anyway) and hope it will support the card format. If there is no new firmware, read the manual for the type of cards and capacities supported and buy compatible cards. The old card can be returned to the store, sold to someone, or saved for future devices.

I had success with this1. Do not save any new file to memory card.2. Connect your card to computer. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in My Computer.3. Download recovery software, recommended one is this photo recovery (simply because i was using it and it worked)http://www.asoftech.com/apr/4. Install and open the photo recovery program, select your memory drive, and click 'Start' button to start scanning process which will find your deleted photos.

How do I pause when recording?

I understand that you wish to Pause and Continue recording to record several scenes in a single file. Unfortunately, HDD Camcorders(regardless of manufacturer) do not have the option to pause and record in a single file. Once you press STOP, it will save the current file and When you press the Record again, it will start record as a new file. This is because of the characteristics of the HDD media. If you wish to have the video as a single file, please use a video editing software to combine the videos.

Thanks for understanding. Please let me know if you require any clarifications.

I have had a jvc

That's a bummer. I have the same camcorder and yesterday 10-3-2010 mine did the same thing. I deleted some files from the file folder located on my camcorder from my computer (which I learned not to do), went to the disconnect device on the computer and it said "safe to disconnect" so I did. The screen on the camcorder said "connecting to device" the whole time I was transferring files to my computer and after my computer said it was safe to disconnect. After it was safe to remove my camcorder, I unplugged the usb cable and tried to turn off the camcorder and nothing happened. I removed the wall charger and battery which finally turned off the camcorder. I then tried to turn the camera on and same thing as you, Everio sign came on and then the screen went blank. Nothing was accessible after turning the power on. One time an error sign appeared saying something like disc broken, need to restore disc to record video. I tried everything, turning on with wall charger and no battery, pushing buttons while it was turning on, holding down buttons, etc. Finally I tried something that made it work. Don't know exactly what I did, but it started working.
Solution: With the power in off position and the battery removed, as well as the wall charger cable removed, I flipped open the screen, opened the lens, connected the wall charger, turned switch to on position and let it run its coarse. It was on for 5 mins or less then shut itself off. I then flipped the switch to off, let it sit for a few minutes and turned it back on, while it was booting up (this part has no logic behind it) I pushed the "plastic" lock buttons for the battery and a screen appeared asking me if I wanted to restore the hard drive. I quickly clicked yes and all is well. The camcorder is back to factory settings but it at least works. Luckily I copied everything before it crashed. The key for the future is to not delete files from the camcorder while it's connected to your computer.
Sorry for the long post, but hopefully it helps.

So you might need to open and check this delicate section with great accurracy so as not to tamper.
Hence my advice is to seek help from JVC service support.

I cant plug my jvc to my tv

I am assuming that you have an AV cable which you need to have connected to your camcorder at the AV output socket, and the other end should have RCA phono plugs (one red, one white and one yellow) which usually connect to three corresponding sockets on the front or side of most modern TV sets, these may be inside a front panel which opens. Once connected, you need to select the appropriate AV input on your TV remote, very often this will be "Front AV" or AV3 or AV4, you need to check your TV instruction manual to be sure of which input is required for your specific model of TV...hope that helps!
