If you've already tried to clean the optical lens and still the "no disc error" appear, high chance that the lens assembly was faulty. You must take it apart and check the spindle motor first. Lot of my "no disc error" repaired unit has a faulty spindle motor. Click the link below for the sample tips...

Once you've confirmed that the spindle motor is in good condition, you need to replace the optical lens or the lens assembly to back the unit from reading again...
If you don't have necessary tools and test instrument and can't troubleshoot the unit yourself, I would advice you to send it to your local repair shop to isolate the problem.

How is the system connected? Are you using aftermarket amp or factory amp, check speaker wire from amp yo subwoofer, and volume levels kn the amp if aftermarket.

They are for the steering wheel controls. If you don't have the steering wheel functions in your car, then I wouldn't worry about them. You may have a bad antenna for the gps.

My neice can do it from her sprint smart phone but you might have to initialize it through a home computer first, just for driver purposes

Don't expect to do this quickly. With this guide it should be easier for you, but my trial and error took forever. I do things legit. Don't even think of using twist caps or silicone, unless you hate your car. You have subs, your car vibrates. Nothing less than solder and heat shrink will give you a timeless, solid connection. If you're not willing to do it right, just take it to a shop.
