It's the only way your freezer will stay frost free. Water will condense from the air on the coil. Eventually the coil will not provide enough cooling to the freezer and your food will spoil. The defrost element solves this problem, however it can also lead to freezer burnt food.

You have a crack or hole in the supply line. Have someone help you tilt it and look underneath, you should be able to see the problem.

The ice-maker supply line enters the back of the freezer near the top. There is a rubber piece that fills the ice tray, attached from the outside. If that is cracked you will have a leak. There is also a water line that runs through the refrigerator to the reservoir that supplies chilled water at the door. All of these lines should be checked for leaks that can drip into the freezer compartment.

Too high of pressure I the water supply. The lines may have frozen up. If you can I would defrost the freezer and leave the water on and try to cycle it through until you get good water flow. Then throw the filter back in and see how it gos. Good luck

Hello - Do you hear the auger motor running when calling for ice? If you do not, the dispenser may be jammed or the refrigerator has a faulty auger motor. I suggest try clearing any ice that is blocking the ice chute, removing any frozen ice or obstructions, verifying that the water valve or fill tube is not frozen. If any proves to be ineffective contact a professional to move forward accurately.

sounds like the relay on the compressor went bad and is causing arching which trips the breaker

Many times a freezer and/or refrigerator do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many other things that can go wrong.

Is the icemaker turned on? water supply turned on, Did you replace the water valve as well? and is the temperature of the freezer reaching 0 degrees F?

Your inlet tube that goes to the icemaker may be frozen. To Check: Shut off water supply to Fridge, disconnect the water line that goes to the icemaker at top back. Use a flexible item to insert in the water line connection. I used a zip tie. If the flexible item won't all the through to the ice maker, the line is frozen. Thaw out the tube from inside the freezer with a hair dryer. Re-connect everything, you now have ice . . . Solution #2: You may have to replace your "Water Inlet Valve" located at bottom right rear of Fridge. Easy to do, just follow the color codes, be sure and shut off the water.

be suret o check the water line connection under the front kick panel and make sure it is secured.
there is also a chance that the drain hole in the rear of the compartment is blocke and water is not draining into the drip pan.

I have a GE 2005 Side by Side Refrigerator. Model GSS25JERF, Serial # FH242429. I get all kinds of Ice but no water. I replaced the water valve (p/n WR57X10050) and the Dispenser Display, 4 button ( p/n WR55x10443) Still no water dispensing from the water valve. What next ?????

the clicking is probably normal . in that area is the a d c some thremostates / . can't be fan as it in freezer ,, don't fix what isn't broken . relays have just a light click / they are not very loud . with the door closed you should not be able to hear them. mm

remove the ice bin then hold it over the sink and lift the small arm located on the back of the dispenser if it opens and cubes fall out this is good.

the next thing to look at open the door and look at the auger motor case and you will see a small hole in the back with a square plastic actuator make sure this is down.then hold the door switch and have some one try and dispence ice the piece of square plastic should move up if it does not the it needs to be replaced.
if it moves up just make sure the metal arm on the back of the dispencer bin is properly inserted in the plastic actuator.

No they don't. Just one straight drain hose that goes to bottom back of fridge to the drip pan/evaporator pan

If the pan does ot have a hose under it, then you would have to employ your vacuum claener to **** it into a container. Otherwise put some old towels in the drain pan, and hand-wring them out as necessary.
