Why is there a red hot element in my freezer

It's the only way your freezer will stay frost free. Water will condense from the air on the coil. Eventually the coil will not provide enough cooling to the freezer and your food will spoil. The defrost element solves this problem, however it can also lead to freezer burnt food.

It's recommended not to plug refrigerators into gfi's due to regulated amp draws you'll find that if you use an extension cord and plug it into a standard outlet that issue will go away

The ice-maker supply line enters the back of the freezer near the top. There is a rubber piece that fills the ice tray, attached from the outside. If that is cracked you will have a leak. There is also a water line that runs through the refrigerator to the reservoir that supplies chilled water at the door. All of these lines should be checked for leaks that can drip into the freezer compartment.

Water filter keeps popping out

Too high of pressure I the water supply. The lines may have frozen up. If you can I would defrost the freezer and leave the water on and try to cycle it through until you get good water flow. Then throw the filter back in and see how it gos. Good luck

CLOG DRAIN FOR REFRIGERATOR

Hi, thanks for the question. these new ,or older fridges have the drain tube, between the walls of the fridge , and what happens is the water in that drain tube freezes. so the water in the defrost cycle ,cant go down to the drain pan. to repair fridge must be turned off. for at least 24 hrs. insert a small plastic tube, from the drain tray up to the freezer, an blow up the tube to clear. thanks the appliance doc. please rate my answer thanks..

Hello - Do you hear the auger motor running when calling for ice? If you do not, the dispenser may be jammed or the refrigerator has a faulty auger motor. I suggest try clearing any ice that is blocking the ice chute, removing any frozen ice or obstructions, verifying that the water valve or fill tube is not frozen. If any proves to be ineffective contact a professional to move forward accurately.
