Fuji FinePix Z10fd Digital Camera - Page 8 Questions & Answers
I have plugged my camera into my computer on its
Hi, firstly check that the camera software is properly installed. It's sometimes worth re-installing it in case of a corruption. Next check the battery life in the camera is good, next unplug the camera cable and try it in a different usb port. if this still hasn't cured the problem, if you can try a replacement lead and if not, find a friend who will ;let you install your camera on their computer to rest it. If there is STILL no communication, I'm afraid you'll have to take then camera to a repair shop. hope this helps

When my camera is on and in the shooting mode,
It's a warning. Conditions are to dark, so the shutter time is so slow that you can risk shaken pictures.
A solution could be to raise the ISO or use flash or simply support the camera on a firm surface.
I dont know how to make videos
Press Menu/OK
Select Shooting Mode
Press >
Select Movie
Press OK
One press on the shutter button starts recording, second press will stop the recording.
Photos I want aren't on my xd card but on internal memory????
You'll need to install the software that came with the camera onto your computer then connect the camera with the USB cable that came with it to your computer. The software will start when it senses your camera is connected and you'll be able to access the camera internal memory. Otherwise, you can copy the internal memory contents to the memory card from the camera itself from the menu system.
I/o error occurred. Process aborted pops up
The Windows error "I/O Device Error" means
there is an error in the computer's ability to read data when you try to
install a program or to copy data from your device such as a CD Rom, external
hard drive or digital camera. To resolve this issue, try connecting the camera
to a different USB port. Also try to uninstall and reinstall the driver. If
both suggestions fail, we would recommend trying it on a different computer to
see if the camera is defective. If it works on another computer with no
problems, the issue may be with the computer. We would recommend a Windows
update or contacting your computer manufacture for further assistance. A simple
solution that many other users try is a card reader.
Fujifil Z10fd and Linux
Who knows why Google does not search Sourceforge for the appropriate software; Fedora 10 seems to have come with F-Spot installed, and as such when I connect the camera and turn it on, images flow! However, they don't flow perfectly; there are movies and voice annotations to transfer, and they seem not to have transferred. To solve that I'm going to just copy the directory of the SD card over and thus make sure I have the whole captured content.
So; it's a solved problem, just turn the camera on so it can get recognized in a kernel current enough and ready to listen (SuSE, Fedora, Ubuntu, whatever.) If your choices at hand seem thin, then check out the selection using yum and/or a browser pointed at Sourceforge.net (or keep reading Slashdot!)
