Green light on but nothing works

When the camera starts acting in a strange or unexacting way, you could "reset" it, by removing the battery for a few moments and then replace it. But be aware, the green light is on, normally, because the camera is accessing the memory card. If it can't recover from that (and the light stays on) it could be the memory card has a problem. So next to removing the battery, I should advice you to remove the memory card, and save everything on it to a computer, using an external memory card reader. If there are no important pictures on the card, you could try to switch on again and if the camera works normal, you could try to get the pictures of the normal way with the USB cable. If you saved all pictures to a PC, I would give the memory card a format in the camera using the setup menu, Format memory, like the manual on page 115 says. Be aware if you only have an internal memory, you should format this and pictures in there can't be recovered. 53af874f-36b4-4538-965f-f6af94f8f38c.png

Lcd display cracked and will not display images

A cracked LCD cannot be repaired, only replaced. Given the age of the camera (yes, I have one of these too) I suspect it will be cheaper and much easier to replace the whole camera rather than trying to get the LCD replaced.

Cannot tranfere pictures from disc to computer

Disc? Do you mean camera? The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Nikon Transfer.

My nikon coolpix digital camera s51c say memory card is write protected... and will not let me go to format card... what do i do... pls help

SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

My cameras the screen is gone i needed to change

Hi,

This problem can be due defective (broken /twisted) RIBBON CABLE inside connecting LCD to its main body or probably due to bad CCD chip. Both Ribbon cable & CCD unit cannot be repaired, it can be replaced by an expert technician. Its better to contact Sony Service Center.

Thanks....!!

My coolpix 1600 will no

How long ago did you purchase the camera? If it physically won't stay down then I would try a different card. If you can isolate the problem being with the camera. Then somehow either damage to the slot was done or it is defective. Depending on what you choose repair or most likely replacement would be your best option. If you have any questions let me know.
Thank you,
Lee

Blurry pictrues in coolpix s51

Good day,

I have heard a lot of complaints about people taking Blurry Photos.

There are a few possibilities for it and a few easy fixes.

The first possibility I would identify is a dirty lens. To fix this simply take a clean microfiber cloth and gently clean the lens until there are no smudges visible.

The other possibility I would identify is that the pictures are out of focus.
This problem can be caused by a dirty lens or because the object or person was not focused on. To ensure focus on your photos, line up your shot and wait for the camera to focus by pressing the shutter button half way down. When focused press the shutter button in all the way and hold the camera still until the photo appears on the screen. By doing this you will eliminate any motion that might mess up your shot.

Please let me know if these tips work for you!

Regards
