What does "memory card is
There are several possible causes for "memory card locked / write protected", "memory card error", or "no memory card". Some include trying to use of a 4GB SDHC card with an older camera made before SDHC format came out. Others include problems with the switch on the side of the card, or the switch internal to the camera. The problem may also arise from simple formatting problems if the card has never been formatted in the camera (note that this will also erase the card). Troubleshooting tips for this problem
may be found at this link.
Lens error

Solution: just blow over it or vaccum it.
I dropped my nikon coolpix l14 camera and the part
I did the same thing and decided to try and fix it myself. Here are the steps to follow after you acquire the new door, which is available online through
Boca Photo for about $16 plus shipping.
On the bottom of the camera remove the three small screws and the one bottom screw on the side (left corner) of the camera. With these four screws removed you then gently pry the camera apart at the seam so it opens about 1/8". Then pull the battery door up and you'll see the steel pin the door pivots on. Pull the door and pin up and out and then slide the steel pin into the new door and reverse all the steps.
Do not have cd to upload on to my laptop
No, you don't. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive.
However, if you want to use Nikon software, you can get the latest version from http://support.nikontech.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/61

LENS ERROR
My Nikon L14 Camera Is Showing Up Lens Error
Can Someone Please Help Me.
I have a Nikon Coolpix L14 and all of a sudden,
Your problem may be due to corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera
which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the
camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with
a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush,
steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen
into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of
the batteries and place them back in the camera. This cleaning clears
the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, the camera may have
a problem that requires professional repair.
If this response helps, please take a moment to post a rating for me. "Very Helpful" would be appreciated.
Push on button. Camera turns on, lens pops out.
Most of these kinds of errors come as a result of some kind of impact, sand or dirt exposure, possible water damage, or some other problem with the lens.
There is a possibility that the lens is off track.
Try pulling or pushing (not too hard either way) and see if it may be off track and return it to the correct setting.
Since it is not working anyway, try the above a few times and then test the camera to work right.
I have fixed more than one with similar (off track problems) and they worked good after wards.
Worth a try.
If nothing works, I suggest to sell it (include all that you have with the sale) on a site such as Ebay as parts, or as is repair. It should bring something like $20.00 to $50.00. The LCD is worth something over $15.00 alone. The other parts of the camera has value to those who repair cameras.
