Since you don't know how it happened, you should read the manual, to see what LOCKED is.

Else

Go through the setup menus and find the place where you lock and unlock the memory, because it probably thinks you have write protected some of you images.

Maybe you should take it out and put it back in again.

Take out the batteries for a day or so, to let the thing reset.

Re-format the card, after saving everything of course.

The problem might be that the lens has become stuck in the barrel. There are some DIY solutions you could try, but the probability is that you will have to get it fixed by a professional.

Use these at own risk as it may further damage the camera.

Firstly , try connecting your ac adapter or usb cable.

Try holding the shutter button while switching on the camera.

Look at the lens , and if some of the lens 'circles' is misaligned or not concentric then try wiggling it (while holding camera lens down).

Try gently pushing or pulling the lens when it extends but this is risky as it may cause the lens barrel to slip out of its guidance system.

Another way to do this is to place the camera lens down on a hard surface and then power it up. Be sure to use a soft cloth or something similar as to not scratch your lens or casing. Let the lens push the camera up and down a few times and sometimes the little resistance provided by the camera is enough to get things going again.

Try hitting your camera near the lens on the body with the soft tissue on the palm of your hand.

Other than that , I would take the camera to a repair centre for a evaluation to see if it would cost more to repair than to replace the camera.

If it is still under warranty I would suggest you take it in before trying any of these steps and remove any off-brand batteries or accessories as some stores are really fussy about warranty repairs on camera's with non-brand accessories.

The lens error is due to failure of the lens control system. You can remove battery and card replace battery and while switching on tap the lens hood on your hands so as to disengage any dirt or mechanism being struck.
Use some air to blow between the lens to dislodge any sand particles struck inside. If none of these works then you can think of taking consensus with the service centre.
get estimate before you decide. It will be good to have it checked at the HP service as you do not have to run around for spares.

it acepts S.D card, it is having option,lock and unlock,then u prefer unlock option,if u fail ,it is the problem of card reader of the camera,that has to be replaced

One solution is to try and capture the clip from the unit itself using windows or aftermarket software, doing this you should see the video as well as hear it in real time. This takes longer but is alot more accurate,yet are you using the company issued software or window movie maker? Is this a video or still picture camera, and what type of camera and what operating system are you using? From here we can take care of any problem you have.

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back. Some cameras can deface your pictures by scrawling a string of numbers across them.
