My Sony RD-VX525 DVD Recorder got set to DVD1, is

On the remote press the System Menu botton when opened, press Enter and scroll down to Option and press Enter then scroll down to Command, press enter and you'll find DVD1,DVD2 and DVD3 scroll down to it press Enter set or reset your unit as desired!

Just a thought. I used to get a lot of problems when using cheaper HD Cables. They just don't seem up to the job. My personal advice is that if you have the money, purchase the most expensive cables you can afford. You may be able to borrow some good ones from a friend to try out if you aren't sure that this is the problem.

Remote RMT-D240A not working with RDR-VX525 DVD

How do i power off my RDRvx535 sony without a remote?

First I would try some new batteries in my remote, and then there are buttons on the recorder too, to switch on / off and stop. and so on. So use those.

have you checked the cd for deep scratches because i had a dirt bike game that did the same thing

When dubbing dvd to vhs,

On your remote Press the System Menu botton when open scroll down to Setup, press Enter, scroll down to Video and press enter another menu will open. Scroll down to Personal and press enter and play with settings while watching the Video you want to make changes to, until you are Satisfied__!

Sony video cassette and dvd recorder

Un-plug the Power Supply Cord and then plug it back into the outlet sock. The recorder will go back to it's Factory Setting and return unit to it's Default Mode, is DVD-1.....!

your burner could be bad. Try calling Sony tech support for help, and if its still covered under their manufacturers warranty, they should be able to fix it for free. Their warranty i think is for 1 year.

Recorded a movie on the DVR, played it &

what happened was that you probably chose a disc speed on the DVD that was too fast or slow for the dvd players that you are putting it in to. Try re recording it but when under the DVD section, on your remote, choose REC Mode till it says SP. That one should work on just about any dvd player. I had the same problem with mine. Here is a step by step instruction on how to dub from VHS to DVD correctly.
