1. Make sure you're computer is properly connected to the monitor. 2. Some monitors have an input switch. Make sure yours is set correctly as it may have changed. The "signal" your monitor is looking for is sent from your computer.

If there is no blue light and no sound, then power is not making it into the unit. Is there a red light when it is plugged in? Many of these plasmas have a primary power switch located underneath or on the back. Make sure that is turned on. If you receive power, there should be an indicator light showing power is present. If it is just dead, as if unplugged, then either the main switch is off or failed, or the power supply may need service.

3 Blinks means one of the buffer boards is bad. The way to test it is to unhooking one SDR board at a time, and see if half of your screen comes on properly. If the SDR-D board is bad the bottom half of the screen won't come on when you remove the board. Send it out for repair (less expensive then buying a replacement board) or search for a refurbished board. If your non technical provide this info to a service tech and ask for an estimate. Cost will be moderate. Hope this helps you. Jon

The name of the part is probably "buffer board" and there are two in your TV - upper buffer and lower buffer, also called SDR-U and SDR-L boards. Those are the two most common sources of problems in P50S601 along with the Y sustain board (SD board in hitachi and Panasonic terminology), which sometimes gets damaged by the failed buffer board. In the buffer boards market there are all kinds of offerrings. There are old buffers for around $130 for the pair and there are new buffers in the range $160-$200 for the pair.In my opinion if the difference is barely $30-$40 one is better off going for the brand new ones. Here's a link to our title for them, you can sure find others if you start from it:http://www.coppelltvrepair.com/p/182/hitachi-nd60200-0048-and-nd60200-0049-replacement-set-of-buffer-boardsHope this helps!www.coppelltvrepair.com
