go to menu setting there you can see factory default select and press .then machine will reset as factory default.off machine and on it again it will ask time ,date your fax address fax number everything give it.

Press the top or bottom of the circular dial button to select HIGH, MIDDLE, LOW or OFF .... while SPEAKER has not been pressed and a document is not loaded in the feeder. The ringer will ring once at the selected level.

Please try to put the machine in service mode
Put the machine in services mode by unplugging the power from the machine, press both the the copy/help and the stop buttons at the same time, hold them and plug back the power until you see TF662B service mode

first make sure you have paper and ink in the fax. If you do, then unplug it for a min. It will hold the memory when unplugged. When you plug it back in it should print out.

Hi there, Fax machines are still in common use today despite the widespread adoption of computers along with their multiple communication tools, including e-mail and social networks. Fax problems can include trouble receiving faxes, dialing issues, faxes not printing and poor print quality. Performing periodic maintenance can help with fax problems. Check any visual indicators for trouble. Many fax machines have a display panel and use it for reporting error messages. Often the messages are in plain text and can be understood without referring to the instruction book. Refer to your fax machine's instruction manual for any numeric error codes.

Step 2.Replace the cables. In particular, replace the telephone line cable that runs from the wall to the fax machine. The plugs can become lame, and the wire itself can break inside, providing no visual indication it's broken.

You have one of these problems:
1. You are out of in and need to replace the print cartridge.
2. You have run out of printing paper.
3. You have a paper jam.

Once the problem is identified and corrected, the fax will automatically print the memory pages.

Your faxes are probably stored in memory. They automatically print when the a) cartridge is installed properly full, b) fax has paper, c) there is no paper jam.

There also may be a "Print Hold" function activated.

1. Press <print hold> [RCV DATA PRINT] will display.
2. Press "Right Arrow" on the <start/memory> button.
3. Enter 4-digit Print Hold code.
4. Press <start/memory>. Printing will begin. If the wrong code is entered [WRONG CODE] will display. Go back to step 3 and start again. Once you've entered the wrong code 3 times, you will return to your standby display.

The machine is not identifying the cartridge properly. Attempt to reinstall the cartridge. It just may be installed incorrectly.

Replacement cartridge: SHAPR UX-C80B

1. Press <function> then "Down Arrow" on the <start> button until [ENTRY MODE] appears.
2. Press "Right Arrow" on the <start> button until [OWN NUMBER SET] is displayed.
3. Press "Right Arrow" [ENTER FAX #] will display.
4. Enter your fax number with the number keys (max. 20 digits). To insert space, press <#>, to enter "+" press <*>. To clear a mistake press <speaker> button.
5. Press <start/memory> button.
6. Enter your name by pressing number keys for each letter. Will display the capital letter for each of 3-4 letters to number, then number, then the lower case letters for each press. Use "Right Arrow" to go to next letter, if using the same number key (IE: B to A uses 1, use "right arrow" to go to next space). The #1 will give a space between words. (Max. 24 Characters).
7. Press <start/memory> [DATE&TIME SET] will display.
8. Press <stop> to exit.

5. Enter a two digit number for the month.

7. Enter the two digit number for the hour, then two digit number for the minute.
8. Press <start/memory> (The display will read [POLL SECURITY])
9. Press <stop> to exit.

3. Setting [NUMBER OF RINGS] press "Right Arrow" and you should be able to set number of rings 2-8.
