Dirt Devil Vision Turbo W/Bonus Upright Vacuum Vacuum - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
How to clean filter type f51
Hi! The F51 filter can be rinsed to clean. Hold the pleated filter under running water to rinse. Do not use any soap or detergent. Allow filter 24 hours to air dry before replacing in the vacuum. The foam filter can be washed the same way. The filter should be replaced about once a year. I have included a link where you may go to purchase a replacement filter if needed. Thanks!

How do I get a sock out of vacuum hose?
If you have a shop vac you can try putting it on one end of the hose and suck it out. Otherwise just try shaking the hose until it starts coming down. It may take a while but it will eventually come out. I had this happen and had to keep shaking it and hitting the end on the floor and it eventually came out..good luck!

My dirt devil has no main suction
You need to go a bit deeper in the unit to get what is clogged. it is most likely clogged on the inside of the unit. Take off the back and remove the inner workings following the path of the suction. Not hard to do just sucks.

Vacumm just shut off
It could be that you sucked up a piece of paper or plastic which got stuck in the hose and the vacuum just shut off due to over burn protection. Check the hose if it is stuck. You can drop a penny and see if it glides and comes from the other endMost good vacuums these days come with a tiny reset switch. Just press it with a pointed needle or pen tip. It your vacuum shut off due to protection feature, it should come back to life.

How do I change the
I just changed mine and I will be blunt. First off, the design is **** on this vacume, secondly the belt was designed to break on the rusty carbon steel pully rod. Ok now that I've vented we will get down to business. On the bottom of the vacume you will find a plastic housing thats covering the brush. It will have 4 screws around the brush plus one above them. The housing itself is shaped like an L. Remove all the screws and expose the bare brush. This was not my case but there should be a belt holding the brush to a small steel pully rod in the top part of the L indention. If not then just locate an indention on the brush where the belt will be placed and look directly beneath that to find the pully rod (probably about 6 inches beneath the indention on the brush). wrap your new belt around the metal pully rod and then take out the brush. Wrap the other end of the belt around the indention on the brush and pull up hard and replace the brush in its vacume housing. This will take some effort as the belt has to be stretched. When finished replace the housing cover with the five screws and boom you're done.

I replaced the belt as I have done before on
The best way to check if the motor is burning or not is to go back into the unit and take the belt off of the motor shaft. If the unit does the same thing and burns or even if the lights flicker when the unit is on, then it is definitely the motor.
Usually the burning smell associated with this is like a burnt match or burnt wood.
good luck.

How do you replace the belt
Actually need a model number in order to do a search for a user's manual.
I did locate this URL:
http://www.ereplacementparts.com/search_result.php
that shows the family of Vision Turbo units. If you find yours there you will be able to go to an exploded view of the vacuum.
By going through the exploded views you will see where the belt sits and perhaps be able to ascertain the way to change it.
I will still look for a users manual for you.
However, if you find this solution to be of help, I would appreciate a Thumbs Up from you.
p.s. - As long as you will be taking the beater brush off to replace the belt, I would advise cleaner the brush and adding some WD40 to each end. Rotate the ends by hand to work the WD40 in and this will help to maintain the life of the belt.

I have an ultra vision turbo, but its not
Well, more than likely the belt that drives the beater bar has stretched out of shape and you need to replace it. It is very cheap to fix and you can do it yourself.

Brush does not spin
I thought my belt went bad....which it did, however there was another issue....The brush was not turning freeley, and would hardley turn at all, which caused my belt to go bad. Apparently, there are sealed bearings in the brush that you can not get to. If your brush will not turn, you can either spend some $$ and get a replacement. I opted to spend some time on mine, and soaked it in some Mr. Clean and water. I then sprayed brake part cleaner into both ends, and re soaked it. I then put some dish soap on either end and freed up the bearings. In between each of the steps I described above, I would try to work it by hand. I have not had a problem since, and saved some $$ too! Good luck and hope you get the same results I did;-)
