Absolutely, as long as the radio has connections for an auxiliary antenna. You can also connect to an indoor antenna that's a lot better than the wire antenna that your set comes with. For options, try searching eBay for FM antenna.

I had the same problem. It turns out that my adapter for my Dell Digital Jukebox mp3 player works great. You might be able to order one from Dell. I hope this helps.

if cleaning it does not solves the problem then its necessary to open the player and replace the lens.usually when a dvd player reads "no-disc", even on a new dis, that points to a problem with the laser itself. The laser uses two focus voltages, one for CD and one for DVD.

The most common one i see is DVD Laser current drops and you have to re-adjust it.

It is a bear to do. You have to disassemble the whole unit to get to the laser head, underneath it there is two screws to turn, one is labelled DVD. You have to turn itslightlyone way and reassemble to test.... you can see this is tedious. You can try it, just take the  batteries out and don't lose the screws.

in portable dvd players the disassembly instructions are mostly the same in all brands. click this link directly  http://www.polaroid.com/company/compliance/electronics.html
if you are not familiar with disassembling and if dont have proper tools to open the player.its advisable to get it repaired from local electronics repair shop.as it will not be too costly issue to get the lens replaced.

thanks.please do rate the solution.thank you for using fixya.keep updated,.

Unless your have some technical background and a multimeter, you are risking at least the battery pack of your laptop and worst case, the laptop itself.
Most devices that accept an external adaptor are somewhat protected against applying the wrong polarity of voltage but that protection is primitive and depending on the 'universal' (this really should be 'multipurpose-not 'universal) adaptor used, the protection itself can fail, exposing the circuitry inside the laptop that controls the voltage from the adapter to damaging voltage; this would get much more expensive than replacing the original adapter from the manufacturer of the laptop.
You did not mention the brand/model of laptop you have and with only the adapter listed, we can't help you much.

We had the same problem. Since ours was off warranty, I took the back off (several small screws) and lubricated with some fine oil the track (two silver rods about three inches long) upon which the lens slides back and forth. It can be tricky to get it apart and back together again. I also manually slid the lens carrier so that it was in the middle, partway away from the center spindle. Now ours works fine. I think the problem was that the lens carrier doesn't slide very well or gets stuck on the track rods.

wrong item. sorry people

open it and clean it from the inside with a air brush. Clean the lens, the battery, the motherboard, well just air brush the parts you can. CAREFULLY though. If you rip anything the DVD player is gone. Most of the time dust collects inside and a air brush can't get to though place of the lens from the outside. Hope This Help.

This may sound overly simple but try disconnecting the power from the unit (i.e. unplug it from the wall), wait a few minutes and plug it back in, kinda like a hard re-boot.
