Sound works but picture goes
you are having a problem in the video circuits..or the IF circuit.and trouble shooting these circuits are very difficult at times.if any measurements are to be done subtituting the IC 101 will be best.before changing measure the voltage comming in and out of the IC.if you are not a tech take your set to a tech for repairs.good luck.

32 flat panel trutech how
Not knowing the exact model, there are usually several ways to get the tv signal to the set. There is an HDMI port - a "flat squashed connector", S-Video(round connector with 5-9 pins) + L/R Audio (2 small barrels one red one white) and the RF Antenna Input (looks like a fat bolt sticking out of the set) - this is what you would attach to your cable (the connector screws on)

That's a service code diagnostic to what the problem might be. Also, you should be able to find the model number on the sticker on the back of the TV

No picture
this could be a cable problem. usually if theres no picture its either not on the right channel or the cables are not in the right spot or the cable itself is broken. try those and if your still not working then make sure the dvd player is on and running. try a different tv to see if it works because that could a tv problem or if not then the dvd player is broken. hope this helps.

I have a Trutech DVD,
For start let's ignore the the remote and see if the player works with just the buttons on it.
Start the tv and select the input on which the player is plugged in - you did plugged it in an separate AV input, just like the dish box, didn't you? Now start the player - if it's functional a Trutech image should appear on the screen. If it doesn't appear then either you have connected it badly (check the RCA cables and their connectors - the colors must match) or the player is dead.
If this is the case then it will be cheaper to buy a new one that to replace the mainboard of this one.
If the image is there then put a disk and try to play it - if you can't (the disk is rejected) then the optical head is malfunctioning - try to clean it using one of those cleaning disks. If after using it you still can't see the movie then the optical head is dead. You can replace the head with one from another failed unit, but replacing it with a new one is out of the question - it will be cheaper to buy a new player.
Now to the remote: unfortunately the Dish remote doesn't officially supports any of the Trutech players so you will have to do a code scan, maybe one for another player brand will work on yours.

We cant change the channel
In that case the tuner - the part in which the cable plugs in and in where the tv channel is selected, the data extracted and separated in video and audio - is defective and it will have to be replaced.
The part is quite cheap - $25 - but its removal and replacement is a complicated job (lots of very fine solderings required) that it would be best if you would leave it to someone with experience. You will probably have to take the tv to a repair shop, it will all cost you around $150.
