My ice maker just stopped
Good day,
Could be many reasons for the ice maker issue. The first step is to be sure the freezer is cold enough. If the freezer temp rises much above 10 degrees the ice maker will lock out. That is by design.
If the temperatures are O.K. then follow the following steps. It should solve your issue.
First step is to take a small paper cup of water and fill the cavity until it is near full. With the ice maker turned on, close freezer door and wait 3 hours to see if it harvests. If not, the ice maker is bad, and must be replaced. If the cubes harvest then.......
Three possibilities.
1. The water supply from the house is not delivering water to the water valve. Shut off the house at the meter, disconnect the line going to the water valve, and with the line pointed into a bucket, have someone turn the valve back on for a 15 second count. The water should come out smartly. If not, the line and it's fittings will have to be replaced.
2. The fill tube from the back of the machine that feeds water into the back of the ice maker is frozen up. You will have to remove the ice maker to visually inspect that tube. If blocked, it needs to be defrosted, but use caution. Too much heat too fast will start to melt plastic and vinyl parts you don't want melted.
If this is the case, then once cleaned out, you will have to change the water valve located in the back bottom rear of the machine because it is leaking during the off cycle.
3. If everything checks O.K. up to this point, you will have to purchase and install a new water valve, and install it.
P.S. Under very rare occasions the electric circuity in the ice maker will fail to send a signal to the water valve. Although rare, it can happen, in which case the best option is to replace the ice maker and water valve.
We removed the ice and
Hi
Check the back of the unit where the solenoid valves are located. Whats happening is the valve is leaking by or there is too much water pressure. It is suggested to replace the valve.
Please accept the solution if its helpful . Do get back to us for any further query.

Does not make ice
You must check whether or not you are getting water. Disconnect the water line to the water valve located in the back of the refrigerator. If, you have water from the supply , then you may a defective water valve. Changing the ice maker is usually the right move. The kit comes with a new water valve and head. Just to make sure. Check the water supply tube to the ice maker in the back of the freezer. If , it is frozen then no water can come through. If, it is frozen then you definitely have a water valve problem.
My icemaker is not working
Tryusing an hairdryer or defrosting the unit completely , this often getrid of blockage caused by frozen lines fixing the problem.
The water lines can also be unblocked from dirt using a thin flexible shaft. This after defrosting.
If all that does not fix the problem, then you may need to replace thewater valve, the icemaker solenoid, or the whole icemaker assembly.

Fridge leaking oil on the bottom right side
OK, usually if you see an oily substance that you are sure is not from the fridge contents it's oil from the sealed system. When a leak in the sealed system happens the refrigerant gas leaks out and the lubricating oil also leaks out. I'm afraid you may be in this situation. As the refrigerant leaks out the cooling efficientcy drops off quickly and eventually there is no cooling at all. You would have to use a refrigerant leak detector "sniffer" to locate the leak and then have a certified company repair the unit. Sadly, the cost to do a compressor replacement and leak repair is 2/3's or more the cost of a new fridge...
The water line vibrates and makes noise when using
Does it make noises when anything else in the house uses water?(sinks, toilets filling up?)
If not the pull the fridge out and make sure water line clamp was installed. It will be a small clamp near the bottom of the fridge on tha same side the line comes into the back of it.
Is there a water filter that has been replaced recently?

Filtered water not dispensing
Pull the filter and have someone barely turn on the water to see if it's even making it to the filter. Then check all lines for kinks. Then there are two water valves operated by solenoids near the compressor compartment. One is for the icemaker, and should only engage when it calls for water on it's own cycle. The other one is for the water. Have someone push the button and check for voltage at the connector. If you're getting this check to see if you hear a humming noise from valve when engaged. If not, the solenoid is shot and you need a new valve. Or if you hear it engage but are not getting water through the valve, unhook the exit and put a length of hose on it into a bucket to check this. Hope this helps.

Buzzing sound and not cooling
it looks like you have a bad compressor. try replacing the ptc starter and the run capacitor, if it did not change anything, then you have a bad compressort that needs to be replaced. if those parts are expensive, test the capacitor by using an analog meter, test the terminal using the X100 resistance. the meter needle should indicate continuity and slowly goes back to infinity. then reverse the terminals to the test prods and it should happen again. then test the resistance of the ptc starter, it should have a reading between 20 ohms and 100 ohms. and there whould be no rattling sound inside the ptc starter. hope i was able to help...

about the only thing you can do here is take the back cover off the unit see if the cooling fan for the compressor is running if it is and there is an Indian on the compressor then the compressor should be replaced if the fan isn't running then clear the fan once its running then turn the unit off for 30 Min's and try again
