You are probably not provisioned for MMS service with your provider. You would need to contact your mobile operator to get MMS service enabled for your account.

As for problems sending ... every mobile operator has different settings that are required to be configured in the mobile phone in order to support MMS. There are no magic settings that work with all operators.

Unfortunately, I don't know what else to do to help you, as I do not know exactly what menu option to use on that phone to configure the MMS settings.

You can google for unlock codes for your phone and get one from an unlocking site for a small fee.

This was a common defect in this model phone it is probably that the earpiece speaker is going bad.

Sounds like a defective SIM card try getting a new one from local provider store.

You need to have the Motorola Phone Tools software which you have to buy and then install the USB driver as well.

The problem with switching a phone over two different networks is: Each network has different programming. Your friend should be able to take it to a "YTG Wireless" type store and have the phone reprogrammed to the specifications of their current provider. if you take it to the actual provider though they will tell you that you can't get it fixed and to buy a new phone. it IS possible you just have to find someone that can do it.
