Yamaha RX-v685 - Surround Sound Issues

If you are in Pro Logic mode and play a stereo recording/film etc, there will be no rear sound. You need a Pro Logic recording to produce true rear sound.

Yamaha CDC 665. Will read the discs but won't play help please

That is unusual because the tracking laser is a lot less less power than the reading laser. You can try a Cleaning Disc, but you probably need Yamaha Service.

Yamaha RX-V659 receiver tuner does not produce sound.

Question edited for full 'make model (what is is).Sounds like the aerial antenna is not connected. Check behind the unit and also the connector wherever it goes.

Yamaha CX-A 5200 protection circuitry has been activated - won't power on

I would get it fixed at a Yamaha Service Centre, as you don't have the test equipment to find which failed component is causing it to shut down and protect itself. The only thing you might try is looking for bulging or split capacitors. That WOULD cause circuit protection, because they are power stores and smoothers.

My yamaha rx-463 receiver is not coming on and noise of clik

Check speaker wires did not short out or the amplifier was not over driven. The usual cause to go into protect mode is a failed power stage.

How to reset yamaha R-N402 power protection circuit

This is directly from the service manual for the R-N402: Hold the left preset button (<) and the bass (+) button and press the power button and then release. The receiver will disable the power protection and turn on in self-diagnostic mode. My device is working correctly now. :)

My Yamaha DC555 CD player has no sound. It was working but just quit sound

The laser that reads the disc's and the lens need to be replaced for your CD player.It cold be that the volume control has worn out and needs to be replaced.
