it could be a bad battery or did you get the phone wet, if none of those you will have to replace the board, can be donte here

i had the same prob jsut put a boost sim in it and wait for about 48 hours with the fone on and wit hfull service the whole time they will trace the fone and check to see if it is reported stolen and if it isnt they will unlock it is an automatic program built into the older fones kinda like lojak this should work on about 75% of the older fones out there ok and ps if it is "hot" jsut change the name the fone is registerd to in the fones menu in boost fones it is under my info ok that is all you will need to do

it can also be the ribbon between the screen and the motherboard. these phones (i855) seem to have that proble alot!!

You need to find a dealer who can "unlock" the phone for you. Try www.craigslist.com It's not a code that you enter, it's a software and cable that unlocks the phone.

Sound as though maybe you're trying to use a "boost" sim card on a Nextel phone. The phone has to be unlocked in order for that to work.

When you are using a Nextel sim card in a Boost phone, The Boost phone recognizes that it is not the alotted sim and will automatically lock up. This doesn't happen in all cases but it does happen often. There is no way to fix this issue besides replacing the phone, which you can do through warranty if you can not return it to the store.

Did you ever create a password for the SIM? If not, then the password is 0000

Open your phone and look at the hinges, while you are looking at the black screen it is the hinge on your left. Inside that hinge is a small wire, this wire is no longer connected.
Remove your battery and look for 4 small screws, remove these screws and carefully open the casing. You should be able to find the wire, it will be a challenge to put it back together.

You cannot use a Boost sim card in the phone, it HAS to be a powersource sim card. You may be able to purchase one of these at a Sprint Nextel Repair location, or via Customer Care Sales. Let me know how it goes, I do apologize for the incovience.

You will need to get it unlocked find someone online that can help you, try using craigslist and search for boost unlocking services in your area.
