The actuator paddle you press to dispense water has broken off at the base. I have ordered a replacement part but can't figure out how to get the broken part out. Can anyone help. Thanks.
I had the same problem with my water dispenser and since they were willing to sell me a part but provided no directions and I couldn't locate any I decided to make my own for those who might need them. Here is a link to a PDF I made, hope it helps.

Before starting this job I would also like to warn all to please be save and UNPLUG the fridge. The whole job took me less then 30 minutes and I doubt anything will go bad in that amount of time.

Had fish in fridge for one day defrosting it. The fridge started to smell so we thoroughly cleaned and defrosted fridge and freezer. the fridge still smells especially when the blowing air comes out of the fridge. We think the smell is in the air system or what ever cools the fridge because we can't get rid of the smell.
frigidare makes a product called fridge- aid you can get it at lowes or any appliances parts store its made of activated coconut charcole it might solve you promblem

We just bought this fridge from The Brick. It is a floor model with minor surface scratches. That is ok for us.
But when getting ice cubes from the ice despneser, all ice cubes are coated with some type of white powder as we found in the cup. Not usre what it is, we may need to cleaning up before use for any new fridge (the user manual is missing for this floor model).
One more thing is the light bulb is missing in the water despenser, where we can buy one?
Thanks in advance.

Hey there....
The white powder in your ice cubes is the water line to the dispencer,The water in the pipe forms a white layer after some time, almost like the kettle around the aliment, you just have to clean the pipe out,i normaly use some hot water with a bit of vinigar, just make sure you flush the system after wards and there you go....
Hope you get it right...
Wouter.

Ice maker has worked perfectly until 2 days ago. Now, when a cup is placed against the lever to dispense ice, you can hear the ice fall thru the chute... but instead of the flap opening and allowing cubes to fall into the cup, the flap stays closed and the cubes collect on top of it.
I opened the freezer door and you can see ice cubes that were dispensed sitting in the chute on top of the flap. I can reach thru the ice and push the flap open, the ice will fall into my cup, and the flap will spring back to closed position. But for some reason the flap is no longer opening freely on its own.
I always thought the flap opened simply from the pressure of ice cubes falling against it. But now I am led me to believe that this flap is controlled by some kind of mechanism - but I have no idea what that mechanism is. Is there a switch or something connected to the flap? I have only a limited view of the flap from either side of the freezer door.
What controls the flap and can it be fixed?
the actuating paddle that you are depressing to dispense ice actually pushes the door open at the top of the dispensor, soundsas if thered an issue withthe actuator arm

water dispenser on front of refrigerator door does not dispense water. Ice Cube maker continues to make ice cubes
Water dispensing solenoid is bad. You need to replace the solenoid valve. This typically is independent of the ice maker.

My Frigidaire Refrigerator side-by-side freezer is making a loud humming noise. It will stop for awhile and then continue back up. Everything seems to be working correctly, this noise just started 2 days ago. It sounds as if it's comming from the inside of the freezer either right in back by the ice maker or right in the middle, but definiatly coming from the freezer. I tried to turn it off, which of course it stops, but then after turning it on and within a few minutes the noise starts right back up again. It's only 2 years old. Of course, we didn't purchase any additional warrenty.
fan motor probably rubbing in something

Our Frigidaire Refrigerator makes a gurgling type noise when we close the door, this is the only time we hear the noise, when the door closes??
There is a water evaporation tray in the back of the frig. Air pressure fron closing door makes air bubble thru tray. Its not a problem.

Frigidaire side by side freezer is making a very loud noise that just started this morning. It stopped freezing ice cream about 3 months ago but was still able to freeze everything else and create ice cubes. I cleaned the bottom of the fridge (condeser coils?) already. If I turn the knob to make the freezer not as cold then the noise goes away for like 10 mins and comes back. Its is a very loud noise...definitely not just humming.
It sounds like the evaporator fan is hitting ice that is built up on the evaporator coil. When it's making the noise, open the freezer door and see if it stops.
(Most models are wired so that the evaporator fan cuts off when the freezer door is open.)
Check the inside back, lower panel of the freezer for ice built up or frost on it. If there is, you have a defrost problem that is most likley a bad heater. It's located around the coil inside the freezer behind the panel you will be looking at. The defrost problem would explain the freezer not freezing ice cream.

My freezers compressor is getting very hot and the freezer is not freezing
Fridgidaire Upright Freezer appears that the compressor is getting hot enough to burn ( serious discoloration) the linoleum below the freezer.
The compressor is hot to the touch.
Freezer is working just fine.
What to do?

Ice maker has a deep hum and goes on for about 20 minutes on a regular basis.
water will condense and then freeze in the fan area. Need to remove freezer inside back panel and remove ice from fan area. Fan is located abot @/3 down on right side. No permanent fix I have to do it about every three months.
