my best guess its A Frigidaire wall oven, circa 1966-1970,

unsafe to use at any time if the temp controller trips the circuit breaker

could be the oven thermostat causing the trip as well

if Frigidaire are still in business

You will need to ask an electrician to fit a /tested used controller or new superseded part temp controller and knob

On what item?

Hello Elaine

Use a proprietary oven cleaner like Easy Off. Spray it, leave it on and wash off with a damp cloth. If the dirt is between the two glass panels of outer and inner door, you have to undo the screws and split the door.

Good Afternoon Larz, thank you for your post!
From the information you have provided the cooktop and oven on your Frigidaire range, FFEF3017ZW, are not working. This could be an internal issue with your control panel, a wiring harness, or the terminal black. Since it could be an issue with the electrical component, I would suggest having a professional technician out for a proper diagnosis. This will help you to avoid any unnecessary part purchases or improper disassembly of the range. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt

Hello Jim, I appreciate your post!
Based off the information you have provided you would like to know the where to set the ohms meter to check the sensor and EOC (electronic oven control) on your Frigidaire oven. In order to research this information further I would need to have your model number. You can locate your model number on a wall oven on the inside left hand wall or the door frame. If this is a range you would need to pull out the bottom drawer and it is located on the door frame. Once I have that information I would be able to assist you further. -Matt

Hello Owner, thank you for your inquiry!
I understand that you need the use and care manual for your Tappan wall oven, 12-4990-00-04. If the model is older than ten years old manufacturers will not keep that information available. You might be able to perform a search for antique models online for any additional information. -Matt
