Frigidaire FGB24L2A Gas Single Oven - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Frigidaire gas oven
Oven control panel went blank.
There is electricity to stove and oven.
sounds like the clock assy. is bad part 316557206 heat usually is the cause of this part to fail, people use the self clean the oven gets up to 1000 degrees and damages the clock assy. or a large pot was on top of the stove and the heat damaged it but whatever the cause was you need to change out the clock assy. if the touch pad is black you can reuse it if it's white for some reason it doesn't peel off without damaging the overlay get a putty knife and a hair dryer, heat up the overlay and peel it off with the putty knife,go here to see the parts
https://www.searspartsdirect.com/model-number/FGFLMC55ECA/1428/0124002.html
it looks like this only comes with the black overlay because it doesn't show any other colors so you can order the overlay or peel it off and save some bucks,go to the sight, put your model number in,go to backguard and look at parts 20 and 20a this is what you need, first i would check all the wires going to the clock assy. to make sure there isn't a broken wire.good luck

Turned oven on to 350. the igniter got red but
Good Morning Jim, I
understand that your gas range is inoperable. Let's try reprogramming the unit
by either flipping the household circuit breaker off or unplugging it. While
the unit is turn OFF; confirm that
the shut-off valve on the gas pressure regulator is in the "ON" position
(usually located on the back left-hand side of the range). This valve shuts off gas to the
oven. Then you may turn the appliance on. If the steps do not correct
the issue, your range could be experiencing a communication error with the EOC
(electronic oven control), a potential wiring failure, faulty bake or broiler
element or power supply. I would personally
contact a professional to accurately diagnose the appliance to determine the
root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts. If you do not
know a professional technician, manufacturer websites often have service
provider locators' onsite to assist you in that regard. If you have any
additional questions, please feel free to reconnect!

Defective clock and temperature lcd display
Hi ivylsaga - Please try resetting the unit by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and turn the unit back on. If issue persists, then the unit may possibly have a faulty EOC (electronic oven control), or a potential wiring harness. I would suggest contacting a professional to move forward accurately.

Hi, My oven has been
This is from Frigidaire website
These codes mean that the oven's electronic control has detected a condition it needs to check. When you see a code, follow these steps:
- Press STOP/CLEAR to clear the display and stop the beeping.
- Reprogram the oven.
- If the code still displays, turn off the power to the oven at your breaker box and wait five minutes to turn it back on.
If the code is still displayed after you've followed these steps, contact your local authorized service provider.
That is the best answer I can give. I hope it helps. I don't know what the code is, but it only gives this answer.

The oven has a code
Hello, Thank You for using FixYa. I will be helping you today. Both error codes are to do with a runaway temperature or not sensing temperature correct. Make sure the oven sensor is plugged into the board correct or one of the wires wasn't damaged.Since the control was replaced i would make sure it was wired correct. The oven sensor or rtd probe is the short rod coming through the back oven wall in the top section. If all the wiring is correct and plugged in correct the probe is shorted or the relay on the control.
Thank You and please rate my answer if it was helpful..

Where is the oven igniter located at in a
remove the oven racks, in back there will be two chrome screws, remove them. Lift the lower oven panel out by pulling up from the rear. Remove the screws holding the flame spreader and remove the flame spreader. Now you will see the burner and igniter attached to it. There are 2 quarter inch hex screws holding the ignitor on. GE likes to put them on an angle, so it is easier to remove the burner tube. Remove the bottom drawer and remove the screws securing the burner to the back wall. There should be one in the front too. The burner will now lift up and you can get at the screws. The new ignitor should come with ceramic wire nuts. Just cut the old igniter, strip the ends of the wires going to it and wire nut the new one on. Reverse the rest of the steps. There is also a video at www.appliancehelponline.com/servicemanual.html that walks you thru testing this part. You can also enter your model # for diagrams and illustrations.

Frigidaire Gas Oven
The igniter needs to be replaced. I had the exact same thing happen to
my oven. The igniter would glow, but after tested, it did not have
enough amperage to actually ignite the gas, so the gas kept running
with no ignition. You can get a replacement at an appliance parts store. If you have a friend or relative who is a heating/air conditioning repairperson they can test your current igniter. Good luck!

My frigidaire ovens broiler came on, on high, when i was baking at a very low temp (170).
If your Frigidaire oven's broiler unexpectedly turned on while you were baking at a low temperature, it could indicate an issue with the oven's temperature control system. Here are a few possible explanations and troubleshooting steps:
- Incorrect oven setting: Double-check that you have selected the correct oven function and temperature settings. Ensure that you have chosen the "bake" function rather than the "broil" function. Also, verify that the temperature setting is appropriate for baking.
- Malfunctioning temperature sensor: The oven's temperature sensor, also known as the oven thermostat, could be faulty. A malfunctioning sensor may send incorrect temperature readings to the oven control board, causing it to activate the broiler unexpectedly. Consider contacting a professional technician to inspect and potentially replace the temperature sensor if necessary.
- Control board issue: The oven control board, which regulates various oven functions, could be experiencing a malfunction. If the control board is sending incorrect signals to the broiler, it may activate when it shouldn't. Consult a professional technician to assess and repair the control board if needed.
- Wiring or electrical problem: Inspect the oven's wiring and electrical connections for any signs of damage or loose connections. Faulty wiring or poor electrical connections can cause erratic oven behavior. It's advisable to have a qualified technician examine the electrical components to ensure they are functioning correctly.
