20 Most Recent Frigidaire FGB24T3A Gas Single Oven Questions & Answers

You most likely just have a weak ignitor. What you describe are classic symptoms, except I have never tried turning gas off.
If you have an amp clamp, check the amp draw of the ignitor. Clamp it on with the oven off. Turn the oven on and watch the amp draw. It will start climbing as it heats up and open the valve at about 3.2 amps. If you get 3.2 amps and it still doesn't light, you probably have a valve problem. I expect you will see it get up to 2.8- 3.0 then linger there for a while. This causes slow and erratic operation of the gas valve.
Even if you find this not to be the problem, this is the very first step to diagnosing a gas oven. You have to know the amp draw of the ignitor before you can go any further.
Post back to let me know what you find.

You need a new spark module as shown in the link provided below

When bad you will nor get the range to light. You can light it with a match until you replace this part but be careful doing it that way

Hi,

The best way to test the igintor is with an amp meter. Connect a clamp on amp probe to one of wires going to the ignitor (either one is fine) turn the oven on, match the current you get from the amp probe to the rating on the gas valve to see if you have enough current. (typically you need 3.2 amps for most systems).

As ignitors get weak the resistance in them gets higher causing the amp draw to go down.

You can also get 'a feel' for the strength of the ignitor by how bright it glows, when working right, the orange will be bright almost whiteish in color. As it ages and weakens it will be more of a dull orange.

As a rule of thumb, if the ignitor is glowing and the burner will not come on the ignitor is bad.

I hope this helps

Your glowbar ignitor part must be replaced, Unplug the range and turn off the gas. Remove yje oven racks, The oven base pan. Then remove the flame spreader. You will see the glowbar ignitor attached to the side of the bake burner. Remove it and replace it with a new ignitor. Replace all the range parts.Turn on the power and turn on the gas supply.

Copy and paste this site for the location of the ignitor you can also purchase the part from them.

Hi,

Have you spilt anything on the burner? If so it will need to be cleaned, you will need to do the following (you need a pin, a matchstick, a drinking straw and a torch):

Make sure the oven control and the electric isolated is off please, remove the shelves, using the torch, inspect the oven burner, if there is no apparent blockage, disregard the following advice and seek the help of a 'Gas Safe' engineer in your area.

If it is blocked, using a pin or matchstick clean the holes in the burner, and use the drinking straw to blow the debris away. Move away from the burner, and see if it lights.

If this fails to work it could mean that the ignition is in the incorret position allowing for explosive ignition. See advice from a 'Gas Safe' qualified engineer.

I hope this helps.

Check power going to the electronic module in back of the display. If power there you have a blown module. If no power check for a blown thermal fuze.

F1 Circuit board defective Replace control board
F1 for frigidaire means it has a defective erc (control board)

Try pressing and holding the Clear/Off button for 3+ seconds. The LOC indicates the control panel lock is enabled. The LOC should clear from the display. Note: if you hold the key pad for too long, the lock will reengage. From the picture of your range that you included, I believe this is the key pad button just below 7 to the right of the LCD display. There is a label in a small font just below the key pad. (The label probably is a padlock symbol and the word Controls but I can't resolve it from your picture.) Some newer Frigidaire Gallery ranges have a key pad button with a padlock symbol; this would be the correct button to press and hold on those models.

Warning: on some models, the door lock will also engage. Do not try to force the door open. Wait for 15+ seconds for the door lock mechanism to fully disengage before attempting to open the door.

I hope this helps.

How to Reset a Frigidaire Oven
  1. Press and hold the "Bake" button for six seconds until "0°" appears in the display.

If your Frigidaire oven has a manual lock, slide the lock-bar to lock the oven's door. If it does not have a lock-bar, the oven will lock automatically. 3 Locate the "Clean" button on the oven's control panel. 4 Press the "Clean" button to begin the cleaning cycle.

The F10 error can be caused by a faulty relay or electronic control board if the oven overheated while in use. If you unplug the range and the error occurs when the range is cool, then the over-temperature sensor has failed or the electronic control board is faulty. Even the wiring between parts could be faulty.

You need to check sensor and wiring. On some models, the oven temperature sensor probe can be accessed by opening the oven door. Look for two screws that are close together. Otherwise it's accessed from the back of the oven. It may be covered by an access panel. Unplug the wiring harness and check the resistance across the sensor with a multi-meter. It should give 1100 Ohms. Similarly check the wiring resistance from the probe to the control board. Also check the relay and that wiring. Replace the wiring, sensor or relay if those are faulty. Otherwise you need to replace the control board. The control board will be behind the console access panel. Somewhere on the back of the range, there will be a trouble-shooting sheet giving the wiring diagram and the expected resistance or voltage across the parts of the range.

I may be able be able to provide a parts diagram and price list for parts on your range. Please add a comment with the model number of the range for this information.

I hope this helps.

Never ever use the Clean Mode. It breaks things, in your case over heating the fan. The clean cycle goes up to 650'F

Frigidaire Ovens | Answered on Nov 14, 2019

First take out the broiler pan, insert and any aluminum foil. Remove any other tools or pans from the oven. Next clean any large deposits in the oven cavity with hot, soapy water and a cloth. Clean the oven frame, the area outside of the door gasket and the very front center of the oven bottom with soap and water. Once you are ready to start the Self-Clean cycle, press the Self-Clean touch pad. To change the length of the Self-Clean cycle, press the pad again, as needed. Press Start. If you want to have the Self-Clean delayed, press the Delay Start touch pad after the Door Loc message appears. Type in the start time with the keypad.

To stop this cycle, press Cancel. If the oven is hot, the door will remain locked.
