Range hood motors, bathroom exhaust fan motors all share the same thing. They become coated with grime inside the shaft of the rmotor due to their exhaust feature of sucking dust and grime over the motor, which is open. The only solution is to get access to the motor and clean the fan blades and squirt a little WD-40 down the shaft as that is where the noise comes from. The dirt and grime build up on the motor shaft, and eventually starts rubbing the bushing where the shaft rest and makes a noise. Yo must remove this from the shaft and allow a little play, and lubrication which the WD-40 will supply.

In case you are still looking for an answer. The same happened to me.
I found a 3-amp fuse which I changed, and now it's ok.
I removed the chimney casing and located the electrical connection into the wall. You'll find a fuse unit within the switch which swings out.

Filters clean? Fan running? No clogs in the exhaust?

On the one hand, you want the disagreeable stuff out of the kitchen - on the other hand, you want to keep your heated or cooled home air to stay inside.

Just done it myself. Take both screws out to lift light down from hood. Put your finger either side of bulb and just slide it out.

Please check your manual as many hoods can be recirculating, if this is the case then you should also make sure you have a charcoal filter fitted.

The bottom of the hood should be atleast 750mm from the top of a gas burner. Measure up from this atleast 450mm for your hole to be drilled.

Should be a small screw holding the guard in place

It is part of the control board. You will have to replace the whole board and there is soldering involved. Best to call an appliance repair company.
