To be honest-- it's not worth the effort. Some doors do come apart and some are glued together. If the replacement door is only listed as a complete door it doesn't come apart. If it does come apart, it requires prying the plastic frame off the inner side of the door to get to the screws. The frames usually crack if you are not careful. Contact Frigidaire customer relations and explain the problem and see what they have to offer either as a repair or explanation.

C Purdes, It depends on how old the unit is. Most other technicians and sales people that I trust have told me that the average life span of a microwave is only 7 to 10 years. The growling noise can be a couple of different problems and either one of them can get somewhat expensive, especially since it is an over the range unit because a lot of times you have to un-mount the microwave to be able to get to some of the internal parts and that adds labor time to the bill if you are having a repairman come look at it. If you have removed the bolts in the cabinet above, the unit is hanging down on the range. All you need to do is get a helper and lift the front edge a little bit and then lift the edge at the wall up about an inch and lift it off.

Smash the inside glass and remove it. Now you can clean the front glass with out a problem.

Tape over the sound hole will quiet it down!
