Tom, It sounds like either your magnetron and door switch have gone out or the control board. From your description, I would think that it is combination of the door switch and magnetron, which are expensive to replace - are you sure you want to put that type of money into a 9 year old unit.

Hello :

It seems that there's a problem with the power transformer or the power PCB . Or it could be just a fuse . You need to check first . If it's the fuse , then that will be easy to solve , you need only to replace it with new one . But if the problem is with the transformer or with the PCB , you need to take your microwave to the service for repairing . Or it could be bad door switch or problem with the control panel .

You should remove the screws at the back of the case, they will probably be anti tamper type, but you can purchase a driver set at harbor freight or pretty much any place that sells tools. After removing the screws the case cover should slide back as the metal cover tucks under the control panel. There may be screws on the bottom as well. Make sure unit is unplugged and beware of any capacitors since they can still hold a charge.
