It is hard to say. If the device has a fuse fitted inside then it may only be that needing replacement. If the motor or other circuitry is burned up, then just buy a replacement unit.

My Braun worked fine the last time I used it & would not come on when I tried it today. Worked on it & found it to be jammed with hair. Would not rotate. Scrubbed it with a toothbrush, started digging out the hair, forced it to rotate, scrubbed it some more, & rotated it some more. The more I worked with it the more hair kept coming out. It's rotating fine now. I think I'm going to clean it with my water pik. My Braun is the kind that can be used with water & the top part comes off. Haven't used it yet but I think I have fixed it. Wish I could get it apart to clean it out but the head of the screw is strange & I don't have anything that will turn it.

Probably a whole bunch muck is inside theyre (science Project ewe), are you sure you want to open it up? ok... there should some screws underneath the plastic covering but you will need to kind of rip that off and reapply some sticky appoxy after.

Braun Series 9 Clean and Charging station not working.
The short beep and LED on indicate that the Braun Series 9 charging and cleaning station is receiving power, but is not working properly. First, make sure the station is charged. If the station is charged, but still not working, try unplugging it and plugging it back in. If it still doesn't work, review the user manual to see if there are additional troubleshooting steps, or contact us for assistance. As for the Nakamichi 680ZX deck, the half-speed rotation speed indicator should light up when the rotational speed is selected in the middle. If this does not happen, the drive may be damaged and would need to be repaired.
Braun series 9 5790 won't run on battery or wall
first check the power at the outlet if it is an electric version. If you have batteries, make sure they're charged fully. You can also test the motor and switches to make sure they're functioning properly.
Braun 9095cc shaver - can't deactivate the travel lock
I have the same travel lock problem with my series 5000. Also, I am having a similar problem with my other braun, the easy clean braun 5000, though it may still be intermittently used. I suspect that the travel lock problem is a braun common defect. After my braun razors die out, I'm finished with braun razors.
