This remote (a model which is quite new) doesn't officially support your system (which is quite old) so there is no code specifically for it.
But Bose uses Philips chips in a custom configuration so you could try their codes. If none of them work then you have left just one single option: to perform a code scan in the hope that another code will match just enough to give you basic controls.

The 15-2147 is pre-programmed with the following codes for Panasonic TVs:

0250, 0051, 1919, 1941, 1927, 1924, 1946

If you need codes for devices other than TV or programming instructions, please post back including details of the devices you need codes for.

Please note that if your TV is newer than the remote, these codes may only control basic functions or may not work at all. Not all universal remotes will work with all devices.

The 15-2147 remote is pre-programmed with the following codes for Sanyo TVs:

0154, 0088, 1907

Try each of the above codes until you find the one which works best, i.e. controls most functions. Please note that not all universal remotes work with all TVs. If your TV is newer than your remote, these codes may only control basic functions or may not work at all.

That remote will not work with the scientific atlanta explorer 4200 unfortunately, there is no applicable code for the device. You will need a more "robust" remote such as the logitech harmony, which can be programmed by a computer, here is an example of one:

This type of remote has potentially 100,000+ devices it works with, and all you need to do is type in the name of the device and it programs it for you. It will definitely work, although its more expensive, but will replace all remotes you could use.

i pulled these instructions directly from the manual:

1. Press TV once.
2. Press and hold P until the red LED blinks twice,
then release.
3. Enter 9 9 1. The LED blinks twice.
4. Aim the remote at the TV and press Power. The
remote sends IR codes from its library to the
selected device, starting with the most popular
code first.
5. If the TV responds, go to step 6. If the TV does
not respond, press CH+. The remote will try the
next code. Continue until the TV responds.
NOTE: Press CH- to try the previous code.
6. To lock in the code, press P once. The LED
blinks twice.
7. To search for other device codes, repeat steps 1
to 6, substituting the appropriate key for the
device.
