Top burner shorted out and now the indecator light
Hi, It sounds like the infinite switch has shorted out. You will need to change the burner switch. Did you have the burner tested or replaced?
Make dure everything conected to that burner is ok before changing the burner switch.
Please let me know if this helps you at all or if I can assist you further.
Thanks

The bake setting takes over an hour to achieve
Hi I am Vortash you say the temprature takes an hour to rise how did you measure this rise was it by a seperate thermometer or from the gauge on the Oven , if the oven is actually producing the correct heat and the full element is on then it could be you have a faulty thermometer gauge.
The oven may be reaching the correct temprature much quicker but the gauge is not telling you the correct reading , this could be the thermometer sensor in the oven itself or the gauge either way the best way to find out is use a meat themometer to test the oven and check the teprature rise time that way .. If the full element is not on then that would also cause the same problem it seem that this model oven the Jenn - Air has a deal of problems with the elements so this can not be ruled out , my suggestion to you is that you get it tested by an engineer and if found to be faulty check on your consumer rights.. Here in the Uk all goods have to be of merchandable quality and although the manufacturer gives a 12 month guarantee the retailer is liable for this equipment for up to six years .. as that is the legal expected time an appliance should at least last till check out your local consumer laws . hope this helps regards Vortash

How do you remove old bake elementfrom Jenn Air
Pretty simple, make sure you unplug the range or flip the breaker off. Remove the two screws mounting the element to the back wall, carefully pull out the element. It probably has slide on connectors, pull them off and thats it! If you accidentally pull off a wire and it stays back in the stove, you can pull the unit out and remove the back panel and it will be all out in the open.

My Jenn air SVD48600P heating element dose not heat
Hi. I believe this info. may assist you in getting your bake and broil up and running:
When your heating element burns out, you have to replace it because they are not repairable. If, when the heating element burns out, the infinite switch that controls it also fails, you have to replace it too.

Jenn Air stove wired backwards
The fan is likely 120-volt fan, and swapping the wire likely put 220 across the fan. Did the fan seem to rev up very fast? The control is also likely 120-volt, and that too had 220 applied to it.
Give me the model number, and I'll find what parts you need to replace

Oven light won't turn off
It sounds to me like the switch that operates the light is malfunctioning. You're taking the right steps by pressing the switch by hand. Since that didn't work, either that switch is not working or there is another switch that is intended to keep the light on while the door is closed. You can look at that one too. The last thing to consider is if the light is relay controlled, the relay might be stuck closed and applying power to the light all the time.

Wiring a used Jenn Air
The red and the black are the two 'hot' wires and the green is the ground. The red and black are connected to L1 and L2 of your cordset or circuit breaker. The green connects to the ground bus bar

I accidently put the lock on my oven. Now the lock
Hi
The oven door and controls can be locked to avoid unintended use of the oven. The oven doors and controls cannot be locked if the oven is in use, or the oven temperature is 400°F (205°C) or above.
To lock the control panel and both oven doors:
- Press and release Cancel.
- Press and hold upper oven Cancel and Cook & Hold for 3 seconds. “Off” appears in the display and “Lock” flashes while the controls and oven doors lock. Both oven doors lock. “Lock” remains lit in the display.
To unlock the control panel and both oven doors:
Press and hold upper oven Cancel and Cook & Hold for 3 seconds. “Off” disappears from the display and “Lock” flashes while the controls and oven doors unlock.
Please see this link for more information as how to disengage the lock on your Jenn Air Oven---

F3 error code
Check the connection from the temp censor to the board. A break in the wire will cause the F3 and fan to run. Good luck.

What does F9 mean? Won't allow me to use the oven
The "F9" error code means the EOC (electronic oven control) has found the lock motor switches to be out of sequence or shorted.
Test switches and if there is nothing wrong then replace the EOC.....
Thanks

I was broiling on jenn-air convention oven on high
On this model there is a blower fan or cooling fan located between the cooktop and the oven. When oven temps reach @ 550 deg this fan should turn on to keep the controls cool. If it did not come on, you may have a bad fan thermostat or a bad fan. What happened is the control overheated and shut down on you.
