How old is the oven?
Did the problem start after the oven went through a, "Clean" mode?

Boone, by the sound of your post it sounds like the power relay board could be bad. If you had a stuck or shorted keypad, you should be getting a different code. The F2 code means an overheated condition. If it's a double oven it could mean a secondary board failure. The way to go on this would be to ohm out the temp sensor first. Should read about 1100 ohms at room temp. Another way to check it is to swap the bake and broil wires on the power relay board. They will be marked BA and BR. Fire the oven up again and if the bake element comes on then you know that the broil relay is stuck or shorted. Without being there to do the tests, I believe that the problem lies in the power relay board. The part number for the board is 71003431. Priced around 116.00. Jenn-Air usually has a 5 year warranty on these parts. Hope this points you in the right direction. Catriver..post back

If there is NO display, you need to replace the display control board. This is a common problem with these models.

The cost would be around $175.

Make sure that there is no loose or damaged wire.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

This is possibly a problem with the temperature sensor probe (you should check this first as it is the lowest cost). More probably, it is a failure of the control board.
You can have it rebuilt to save some money:

Hello, the f 7 error code means a shorted key-stuck function on control.

If you look on the tag on the oven, that is visible when the door is open, there is a rating number followed by a kw. This number will tell you how much power the unit will use while the elements are on.

So for example if it says 5kw if the elements were on for one full hour it would use 5 Kilowatts of energy.

One thing to note is the elements are typically only on for 20% of a normal baking cycle. So for normal baking you would multiply the 5kw by 20% and get a power usage of 1 Kilowatt of energy. This would be higher for using self clean and lower for short baking times like cookies.

I hope this was not too confusing.

The stove is in probe mode for cooking.
This unit does not have a probe.
I suggest unplugging the stove for a few minutes (or turn off the breakers) to reset the controller.
If this does not cure it, you will need a service man.

HI. This is a simple issue to solve here. This is a common issue when dealing with most Jenn-Air units of this nature. The main control board will be the culprit, but in order to guide you to the correct replacement part, i will need the complete model number that is mounted on your unit. The actual model number you included in your original posting is incomplete, therefore, not allowing me to retrieve the correct part and part numbers needed.

Please post the entire model number, asap.

The problem is likely bad capacitors on the clock module. I had the same problem on a similar oven and fixed it by replacing the capacitors on the clock module. Find someone who is good with electronics to help you. The parts will be a few dollars at most. Give them a tip too. See this link for more info: http://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=7902

F8 error would tell you that it is a problem with the clock. You may want to have it checked see if there are disconnected wires or loose parts. If there are none you may have to replace the control board.

We own a Jenn-Aire model W27400W oven. The display module has gradually gone dim over a period of several months prior to the end of the warranty, and the display is no longer visible. It is apparent that several Jenn-Aire oven models use the same display. Does Anyone else have the same problem, and If so, are they willing to join a class-action suit against Jenn-Aire with us?

I had the same problem... fading on the display. Replaced the display internal panel. It is a common part with other major appliance manufacturers. The problem was corrected.
