My arrow on monitor froze all troubleshooting says mouse OK

Normal 0 Turn the mouse over and find the small rest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it. This should connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly. If not, try pressing the receiver button and then press the button on the mouse. This should be done whenever you change batteries or glitch.
Hope this helps you. Bud

Microsoft Wireless Optical mouse 2.0 Sticky central wheel

I just took mine apart to fix same problem, works much better but not sure for how long.

Quite simple to dismantle the unit.

Take the battery cover off, remove batteries.
There is a small screw in the middle of the battery cavity, you will need a very small Phillips head screwdriver.
Gently ease the base (holding circuit board) from the top shell
The wheel unit can be gently eased out of its cradle, use the small screwdriver to pop it out, watch out for the small spring between base and wheel unit, don't lose it
You can disconnect the wheel unit from the circuit board by unhooking the small plug connector

Now defluff, then clean the wheel - I used a tiny amount of turps on a cloth, anything similar should work. If you look closely the reason the wheel won't roll smoothly is that the gel ring on the wheel is too close and rubs at the front and back of the cradle. Once grime builds up, this problem makes the wheel unusable. Roll the wheel back and forth along a clean surface once cleaned, should start rolling freely again.

I also unscrewed the top shell from the mouse buttons (all one piece, pinch the plastic pegs in the centre of the shell together to release) and cleaned the whole unit up before putting it back together

Don't forget the spring when putting the wheel unit back. When screwing the base to the top shell make sure there is no play between the two parts before you put the batteries back in, mine was a bit tricky to get tight again but worked fine second attempt

Could be spyware. Believe me spyware does strange things worse than a virus. Try this.

I can't fix this for you, but if I helped you get it fixed, please rate it as a fixya not a helpful rating. These ratings let me be allowed to help you and others in the future.

Turn the system restore off. System restore keeps everything in restore. Meaning......... If you have spyware or a virus, it will stay in your system. Run Spybot S&D (This program is free and is better than using msconfig as long as you go through the settings and change everything to the highest settings.) Then do the same with Adaware 2008 (sounds stupid to use 2 things for spyware, but one catches what the other one does not.). I have links on my website (tandnfamilyelectronics-online.com). These links go directly to the download so you will not get the run around. You would do good to try a program called Window Washer (http://www.download.com/Free-Internet-Window-Washer/3000-2144_4-10436825.html?cdlPid=10731707). This is a great program that completely cleans anything in your computer that you do not need. It will not clean out anything that you have to have. I have used this for years to clean out my customers computers and have cleaned as much as 3 gigs of trash out. If you contact me I will give you some tools that I have for free that will do a great job on your computer. I have them ready to download and I will give you the link. ([email protected])

Send me the complete specs of your system and I can help you more. I hope that this helps you. There is no reason the really buy a program for spyware when there are free things to use that work great. Free AVG is a great Antivirus and yes it is also free. It will check your e-mail coming and going. It will also let your friends now that the E-mail does not have a virus. It also has a spyware program that is free. This day and time with all of the spyware out on the net you can never have too many programs for spyware. I would not run all of them at the same time though. Make sure that you do not use your computer during any scan. Defrag is also something to do after you do everything else. Some people will tell you that should not reload your computer. If nothing seems to work then sometimes that is the only good way to get it repaired right. Most of the programs that come pre-installed on a store bought computer is useless and most are even trail software that causes problems when they expire. Let me know if this helps at all. Please rate me if it helps.

Microsoft standard wireless optical mouse troubleshooting...

alright The Optical Mouse works on the "reflection" principle.
If it is only working on the T-shirt,the T-shirt Must allow it to read the Light Reflection with more details compared to the other shiny or smoother surfaces.
so,make sure you use some surface close to the T-shirt's.
and as you have been use that mouse directly on the deck surface, the little LED must have goten Dusted or the plastic arround the LED(light).
Hope that helps...
If the Mouse is in warranty **** any replacement if possible underwarranty.

Left button problem

This problem of yours has a simple solution:just change the left push to on switch.desolder the original one, get a switch from the local electronic market of the same type(if possible OR another one which will b placed correctly on d pcb and which ensures that d click works)
The problem is that the spring in d switch has lost it's physical properties, which is a aging problem.
Solder the new switch, and there u go,click click click, all working fine.
