Normally
yes, the only concern would be if original cables could be made available within reasonable amount of time. Incidentally, have you tried claiming warranty? Should an original cable be not readily available, it is possible to use a
Shure Extension cable and just cut the one end that would be soldered to the drivers of the headphones. Alternately, most electronics parts stores such as Radio Shack, **** Smith, Maplin or Bowood carry
generic headphone cable. Even those intended for
other brands would also work. Any competent electronics technician should be able to perform the necessary soldering/replacement. One other concern though is to carefully do the opening of the headphone to prevent nicks, marring, scratches or damage to the casing of each of the headphone drivers.
