My Samsung DVD-HR753 will not recognise any of the
It looks to me to be an old machine as I see listings for that model in 2006, now there could be a few reasons firstly it may need a firmware update which will enable it to "recognise discs" made later than it (service engineer).
The laser may be poor, playing is less stressful than recording or it may need a general service, their mechanisms and/or optic slides get dusty sticking to old lubricant slowing response times so the machine goes into "timeout" or just gives up, some have rubber belts which stretch.
It comes down to cost of repair versus new one? you could try a lens cleaner disc (a disc with a bit of fuzz stuck on it) but I have found these have varied sucess and a service clean is better with a suitable liquid.
Hope this helps.........

My samsung dvd hr753 will not tune to stations?
Yes this is your problem that you no longer receive an Analogue Signal.
This unit doesn't contain a Digital Freeview Tuner so you will need to purchase some sort of External Digital Freeview Box to connect to this unit to enable you to continue recording on it.

It does not turn on
Does the unit show a clock display - or a standby light on the front? if not, then the PSU is likely to be the cause, with several faulty components, including electrolytic capacitors. If there is a standby LED, but it won't go further, the unit is in protection mode; again, from the (suspected) power supply.
You can opt to visually inspect the condition of the PSU (assuming the unit is out of warranty, and if so, have a look at the electrolytics - many may have bulged/leaked), or, if it still has a warranty, submit to a service centre for a quote on likely repair/parts costs, although I don't think it would be economical.
It is up to you as to how much further you wish to go with this - but keep in mind the possible expense involved along with availability of parts/boards. These days manufacturers lean toward board replacement rather than individual parts replacement/repair.

Lately my CD/DVD drive is not working in my DVD
Repair is never worth it in dvd recorders. Call Samsung and see if they have a replacement flat rate for you. If not then the unit will need to be replaced, as most service centers don't know how to repair cd/dvd recorders and even when they do there will be another issue.

Don't know how to tune digital channels
First of all put your tv on and dvd player. Then switch off the dvd player ,after a few minutes it will start finding its own digital channels.
Theother way is to read your manual and install it as when you first received it.
If you don`t have a manual then click here :http://www.fixya.com/ManualsDirectory/ViewPDF.aspx?itemid=20109

Samsung DVD HR735 doesn't recognise DVDs
It sounds like the laser in the DVD player is getting weak or has alignment problems. If the DVD that did not play in the samsung but played in others. I would tend to think its not alignment since you mentioned that it's been repaired before. Chances are the laser is weak but still within spec in order to prevent replacement. When My dvd players start to go they will generally stop recognizing burned media and thats your clue to replace it. They are very inexpensive to replace nowadays and have almost become disposable items. Probably not what you wanted to hear but it sounds like's like this player wasnt made very well.

My DvD PLayer Has that Msg Saying safe on it all
Take a look at the
online manual and look for the functions on your remote on page 43-45 and then check to see that you are the parent and not the child of a parent who set the parental controls and that you are 18 years of age or older, since persons less than 18 years of age are not permitted to use this site.
Please accept my apologies if you are a parent, and not a child as we have any number of persons who violate this rule, and we here at Fixya try to look out for such rather than defeat your interest in protecting your child.
If this solves your problem please rate.
If it does not solve your problem, leave a comment for further assistance.

Won't recognise DVD disk.
Your system needs a portion of the HDD to swap and stream for the purpose of playing and recording DVDs while CDs are small enough in their data size to play without the minimal size of the space left on your HDD which should be backed up and then erased to give you that brand new feeling.
Try it and get back to me with any problems.
Thanks for asking.

Why can't l play DVD's recorded on this recorder on other player
DVDs come in different versions.
Try using the -R DVDs. Once your DVD recorder finalizes the DVDs they should on any DVD palyer.
Check your manual to find out the finalizing method for your DVD recorder.
I hope this solution is helpful. Let me know.
