I would advice that you test the hard drive with another PC, so as to be sure if the hard drive is still working or not.

I just hope that the hard drive is not faulty, because once it is, you will have to get another one as there is no remedy to repair it.

It took me a lot of digging to try and find a driver download. Also, specs indicate that you need USB 2.0 or 1.1. I had problems connecting via a 4-port hub (that was supposed to support USB 2.0) so ended up connecting directly via my computer USB ("Enhanced" = 2.0) slot, which seemed to work fine.
