You have to wind the watch manually after you buy it. there should be a little knob at about 3 o'clock. Turn it clockwise about 40 times. Make sure you wear it enough (8 hours a day) or else you have to wind it every day like this

if the watch as not been worn for a long time it's best to wind it by hand first to get it started, just make sure the winder is pushed all the way in and then just keep winding it clockwise till it start going..

Most don't automatically reset. If the appliance has a reset button, it should just need to be held in for 30 seconds to correct the fridge. Some refrigerators, including Maytag and Amana, need to have the lock button and the reset or auto buttons held at the same time to reset the fridge

The battery type may be indicated on the back. In any event, a jeweler can tell you.

Yours is most likely a 'Clip On' type which you lever off.
Most watches use one of three methods to access the battery. 'Clip on' back cover, 'Twist Off' back plate and a 'Screw Down' back cover.
'Clip On' back covers are usually smooth ands round with no notches or holes. They are levered off using a blade style lever. Some watches even have small grooves or a small lip sticking out to lever against. Most common watches tend to use this style.
'Twist Off' covers usually have evenly spaced notches or round dimples around the edge of the cover to mount a special tool to unscrew the entire cover plate like a bolt head. Some higher priced watches use this system.
'Screw Down' cover are the easiest to spot. They are usually more square in shape and held down by four tiny screws, one in each corner. They appear most often on 'Sport' watches.

The big one under the 12 (minutes) hand?

That only moves in Chrono mode. If it is the little dial, take it to a jeweler who does watch repairs

Tip & How-To about Watches

Changing Watch Batteries
Lots of posters ask "what is the battery in my (name of watch)" with a view to changing it yourself. This is a bad idea for many reasons. You don't have the tools or knowledge to remove a rotary screw on back, or the gasket sealant for a waterproof watch. Some fashion watches have 4 traditional screw and need professional grade jeweler screwdrivers. Also, there are about 20 batteries commonly used in watches, in various sizes and internal technology, Lithium Ion, Silver Oxide and Manganese Alkaline. If you buy them, you generally have to buy 10!

Don't sweat the details. Just take the watch to your local jeweler. They have all the batteries at hand and the tools to remove the back. It is done whilst you wait for $8 to $15!
