I would guess you have someone else in your neighborhood who happened to set the same digital code pair as you (or didn't set it and they're both set to the factory default). Open the remote and change one of the rocker switches to a different code. NOTE which one you change. Open the bezel where the fan attaches to the ceiling, find the rocker switches and do the same thing. Can't figure out why it would have quit completely - perhaps weak batteries in the remote?
