My XPS 200 keeps shutting down and power light blinks
During when does your computer shutdown? Please check the diagnostic lights at the back as well which ones have light on it during the time it would shutdown.
Since you said that the light is blinking yellow it just says that your power supply is running outside its normal operating range. So most likely you would need a change of power supply. Maybe a higher wattage would be better.

Depending on the main board, 6 beeps usually signify's either a RAM issue (like a bad connection or incompatible ram) or an expansion slot issue so check any other cards you may have installed and make sure that The new RAM stick is compatible with the main board.. The main board model code is printed on the main board. Use it to search for audible fault codes, or go to www.upgrading and repairing computers.com and search for the beep codes for the main board on this site. The first thing to check is the monitor. If able, plug the monitor into another machine to verify the monitor is good. If the monitor is good I would recommend trying a stand alone graphics card. If the video then works with a stand alone graphics card, then the on board video is probably bad. If the latter is the case then you can run the stand alone graphics card but the motherboard is probably on its way out. If the monitor does not work on another machine, it is most likely swollen capacitors or transistors on the inside of the monitor. If this is the case repair or replace monitor.
Dell XP 200 Dimension ethernet port
Hello.
I'd suggest testing with another computer and the same Ethernet cable to your modem to see if the results are the same and to narrow down which component is the problem.
Was it always slow with this setup or did something change.
Is the Linksys adapter connected via USB ? That would be slower than an internal adapter.
Try updating the Linksys adapter software - Device Manager - rightclick - update driver.
Hope these suggestions help.

most surge protectors have some sort of on/off switch and a reset button. If there was a surge then you would need to pres the reset button to get the surge protector to function again. If there was no surge then try using the on/off switch on the surge protector to see if that helps. Also try simply unplugging the power cord from the back of the desktop while the computer is turned off. This will sometime also help.
