I worked on this model for a couple years and honestly, it was hit and miss. I would visit some that were in immaculate condition despite having +100K clicks on the counter, then I would visit just as many that would have 20-30K that would be filthy from toner blowing and would jam frequently. As I recall, there was one exceptionally large design flaw in these that, when paper would jam, a tech would have to dismantle the paper feed side of the unit to be able to properly clear paper bits from around a sensor.
So...IF you are wanting to purchase this unit, I would suggest you do so on a trial basis so you can see which way the copier is going to fall. It really does seem like a 50/50 shot from my experiences. Oh and my experiences are from when the machine was first released. They may have made some retrofits or mods since then...it's been a little while since I've worked for Gestetner so I can't help out on any possible recent developments.

Open the front cover .You will see a green leaver pointing downwards , lif te leaver to the upwards position on the left side underneath the toner you wil see a little green pin ,push it downwards to release the toner pull towards you , move the old bottel little bit backwards and lift , it will come out , remove the black turn off screw from the new toner and insert it with the end were you unscrewed the cap pointing towards you.push back the holder until it clicks , move the green handle downwards again and close the cover .

If all else has failed and you cannot change the settings or change the numbers in the program itself, often uninstalling and reinstalling the fax can correct the problem

You can't. As I said you need the service engineer with the laptop. These Office Machines are NOT consumer serviceable. They hook up the laptop with the Ricoh software and it interrogates the computer, the mainboard and everything on it. Hello Christopher Are you in the Philippines? I notice that your copier has changed from Ricoh to Gestetner? We are a North American website. This is a commercial office machine, and from my experience of them is that on the right side you will see on the inside, a list of instructions for where to check for obstructions. It seems you have already done this 8 times! Frustrating! Try this; Open the right side cover, unlatch all the bits at that side. Open the straight pass door on the left side. remove ALL the paper drawers. Get a powerful flashlight, look in all the spaces you have just created, especially at the edges of drawers and paper pathways. You are looking for a tiny piece of paper that one of your employees carelessly left behind after a paper jam.The one I found was right at the back of the straight pass door. When a sensor is covered, it creates that message. If that fails, Ricoh will have to come and attach their Laptop scan software to it which will tell which sensor is obstructed or has failed.

Hi Hope this helps.The metal gauze filter (see image) behind the input nipple on the drum unit may become blocked with congealed ink deposits causing the ink not to feed at full flow.Strip and clean the blocked gauze filter in the Ink Supply System.

The ID sensors are dirty or transfer belt unit is damaged/dirty/faulty. The ID sensors are below the fusing unit facing down onto the belt. Usually best to remove the fuser unit and the belt unit to get to them with a short brush or unscrew to remove them but be very careful not to damage the transfer belt!
