5300 kodak printer black ink dont work
Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent ink drying out and blocking the print head nozzles. If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive. It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer than replace the print head.
It says paper jam and its no paper in it
Do not [DO NOT] get any parts wet or attempt to wipe any parts with moistened towels.Turn off the printer and unplug it. Look for any small bits of paper. Vacuum the area out. It is best to use low flow vacuum equipment as the air movement from the vacuum can create static electricity so be sure not to touch metal components. The faster the air flow, the greater the generation of static electricity. If the problem is not solved, look for unpluged wires or broken connectors. If it is still not solved, some other component has failed and a good diagnostic is necessary to locate and repair it.

I have a Kodak all in one printer and there seems to be a printhead issue with them. After researching it, I ordered a new one from the Kodak website and installed it (super easy with included instructions). It moves and prints like new and it was cheaper than a new printer.

The printer will not print in black ink
Hi
Try going into Printing Preferences in the Kodak Printer Program and perform Maintenance.
You do not say which operating system you are using.
Start > (Control Panel) > (Category View) Printer > right click on the Kodak icon > Printing Preferences > Maintenance > Nozzle Check > Head Cleaning > test print > repeat nozzle check, head cleaning & test printing until problem is gone.
If this does not fix the problem, replace the black cartridge > head cleaning > test print.
You might need to perform head cleaning after every cartridge change.
I hope this helps.
