If
you've got 4GB of RAM, then you'll only see something link 3200MB
because some of the RAM may be shared/ dedicated for video OR most probably it is because 32 bit Windows Operating can't access 4GB Memory fully. (which 64Bit OS can access)
For further details about your CPU and Graphic processor, I suggest that you download two small free utilities
These usefull utilities will provide you all the additional details about the RAM chips installed, their bus speeds, memory available for operating system and dedicated for graphics etc.
Also, Check the memory bus speed, it should correspond to the FSB and the system should be running on 1:1 RAM to FSB Ratio (Or Higher) for optimum performance.
System performance may suffer due to RAM failure (which I have come accross a few times) Click HERE to view my tip about RAM Check. I have been working with the systems troubleshooting, upgrade etc for years n my rule is to go by the book n check every component in order to identify the issue.
Good Luck!

How to fix a computer that always restart ever 30
Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty
One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive
Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA
the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they are probably old and faulty a computer needs its connections to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error
hope this helps
Having a bit of trouble making the "replacement
1) Definitely WATCH your fingers! Those edges are usually sharp like a razor.
2) Yes, installing an I/O Plate can be as much fun as trying to stuff a greased pig in a plastic bag.
(I/O = Input/Output. The I/O area is where the Input/Output devices are hooked up. The I/O Plate is a shield. I/O Plate is also known a I/O Shield. Normally use to prevent radio interference. Just computer trivia for the day brought to you by your friendly expert moderator, joecoolvette)
It helps to have a small file to dress the edges of the computer case 'ribcage' where the I/O Shield mounts. Little burrs, and sharp edges can deter the mounting of the shield.
The 'fingers', or clamp-like thingies can also be a pain.
I start with trying to ease one corner in just a little at an angle, then the side, then the top and bottom, and use the back of a screwdriver to make the I/O Shield 'pop' in place.
Let me back up a moment here after rereading your post.
The 'clamp-like thingies' that you are referring to I now get.
These 'extensions' are used for the I/O Shield to make a good contact to the various ports.
The I/O Shield is supposed to be installed before installing the motherboard, Donna_Thue.
Remove the motherboard, then try installing the I/O Shield.

I have fan noise on
Hi samohtpfeffe, i've been having the exact same problem. if fan making noise because you video card is over heating, or you fan is about to die, if the fan stops spinning and this will cause video card to overheat and damage and system lock up or crash, i recommend you replace video card fan as soon as possible, to solve this broblem.
Good Luck!
I have a very old
Instead of trying to repair the mainboard I would suggest that you use a PS2 to usb adapter. If you run out of usb ports, use a hub or a pci card for extra.
if the machine is unable to start up due to a error on the start up about the keyboard even with a usb adapter, then I personally would replace the mainboard or throw out the machine - if there is important data remove the hard drives and install them inside a working computer.
the ps2 ports are controlled by the large sis chip on the mainboard. the mainboard has many layers of circuit board or traces the chip can be faulty or then a component between the chip and the ports is bad, your going to have very hard time trying to figure it out.

How do i boot from
Hi,
1. You have to go to the BIOS (press F1, F2, F10 or delete key)
2.Search for Boot Order
3.Set DVD or CD as a first boot item
4. Save changes on BIOS
5. Reboot
6.You'll see an option to boot from CD or DVD (tap any key)
I need a manual so I can set-up board HD LED, PWR
http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Index.aspx?MenuID=0&LanID=9
This is the ECS website. Try the downloads section and in the search put in your model number to see what resources they offer. If that does not get you anywhere, in a google search type the model of your motherboard there and put manual after the model number. That should let you find it.
Cheers!
