I reloaded window XP on my Dell E521 desktop and now i HAVE NO SOUND

You'll need to download and install the appropriate audio driver from the 5 different choices listed here Product Support Choose the driver for your particular original product. A Dell E521 had several audio systems. I would look in Device Manager of Control Panel and see if your audio system is named or is just listed as an unknown device with a YELLOW BANG (!) beside it. Try each one starting with newest. If it isn't for your system, it will likely advise you during the execution of the downloaded choice. If so, cancel installation and try the next one.

How do I make my ECS 6100 boot up opn power on

Computer does not boot up The problem maybe the RAM, it is faulty or just needs reseating to make proper electrical contact. Reseat the RAM and then boot up your laptop. If it still does not boot up then remove the RAM module/s and take them to your friendly computer repair shop and get them to test the RAM for you. Just like you sometimes need a mechanic to repair your car, sometimes you do need a technician to diagnose and identify the fault or faults on your computer. Not only does a good service technican have the experience to deal with this type of problem, they also have the equipment that allows them to look at things the average computer user can't see, and he has a collection of replacement parts that can be used to quickly test individual components on your computer.

My pc is hanging and

the beeps are post during post the very first work is done by the ram,all the memory in the ram is first transferred to the hard disk, and remains active untill turned off.

make sure that your RAM and Cmos battery are securely seated

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect your hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty

if faulty can affect your picture screen

a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and to have and end to function the beeps are post pre operating system searching for some hardware it could be RAM cd/dvd hard drive or motherboard all of these must have secure connections for the computer to work make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure make sure the connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs all electric current and computer data to travel to and through every working device and have an end to work properly click start right click on my computer so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error if you need more help with this post a reply hope this helps you

My problem in my computer

restart your computer repeatedly tapping the f8 key to enter safe mode while the screen is black once in safe mode where the only things working will be your keyboard and mouse allowing you to attempt to repair your computer you could select the option start at last known configuration that worked this will tell you if and what file has been corrupted or missing then you will know if its a hardware issue then select restart if the problem still persists f8 back into safe mode you might need to select your operating system to load into safe mode click start control panel administration tools computer management in the left panel events + to expand then system you will see all errors in right panel right click select properties this will tell you what has occurred and the time it occurred you might use the system restore to restore your system to an earlier time click start all programs accessories system tools you should see your system restore option if it is a hardware issue

Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your "((MOTHERBOARD TO YOUR HARD DRIVE))" make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error even something as small as a faulty electrical extension or fan lead can cause this problem follow the troubleshooting procedure a computer needs all of the data and electrical current to travel through every working device and to have an end to be able work properly a motherboard and a hard drive any leads between them will fail before your motherboard or your hard drive if its a flat ribbon 40 pin type IDE replace it this will be the first to fail check all electrical power input and extensions make sure they are securely seated even the cd/dvd floppy drives need to have current go through make sure these drives are working hope this helps also it could be a dirty computer clean all of the dust from your computer you could use a vacuum cleaner but whatever you use make absolutely sure there is no moisture gets to anything in your computer also check the Cmos battery and computer ram make sure they are securely seated another possible reason could be a memory dump you might be running to many programs at the one time placing to much strain on the CPU also you might not have enough RAM random access memory to check what is running when your computer is running scroll to the bottom toolbar right click select task manager applications and processes if you see something you dont need running select end now to check how much ram you have click start right click on my computer select properties you will see all of your computers details another way to check how much RAM you have click start all programs accessories system tools system information all of your computers information will be there try uninstalling a few unnecessary programs then click start run type cmd then type chkdsk/r/f which will scan for and attempt to fix any bad sectors and automatically fix any corrupt files on your hard drive this will schedule on a restart don
