No video with or without a new video card on an
So you can no onboard video when using the onboard connection right? and no video using an external video card also right? In this case, the promblem lay with the motherboard/ram/cpu and not with your video card. Try resetting the bios via taking out your cmos battery or shorting the cmos pin to see if a miracle would happen and the system would post. If not and if you have another board with compatible hardware, then you can try testing out the cpu, the rams. If you hear beeps when starting up the system, try to take note of it and look up on the internet via what bios make it is, and decode the beep error for what is wrong. If you don't her any beep, the other way only to know what is wrong is having another compatible board to test your cpu/ram, or make sure the ram and cpu you are using is supported by the asrock motherboard. If you do have another board to test your cpu/ram and even the video card, and they work, then your motherboard is scrap and needs to be replaced.
Graphics card doesn't work
u can buy a cheap graphic PCI card from any compuet vendor, & install the same in PCI slot & see whether u can see any display or not , if ur graphic card is damaged , then o nly technician can repair it , There is no user replaceable part inside.

Good Morning,
Running Windows XP Pro.
make sure your updated RAM have a secure seating and are compatible with your motherboard also the RAM should be of the same brand/type for some motherboards even test the leads that are attached to your hard drive from your motherboard IDE/SATA including electrical extensions or just replace them probably faulty while youre at it test all leads attached to dvd/cd/3.1/2" drives one bad/faulty lead can cause a computer lots of problems
hope this helps
What do i do about my audio it is not on? i have
In these cases it's almost always a driver problem.
Go to the Asrock website, search for your MB model and download the latest audio driver for it's chipset.
Also you can try doing a windows update.
If there is any audio driver at all installed the Windows updater might find a workable driver for you.
If you get no where with this, and, or you can find a audio driver for your OS then you can just disable the built in sound in your BIOS and buy even a cheap (around $10) external sound card instead.
