When you already purchased a new PCIE card for it what you need to do is to just plug the video card to the mother and then power it on and computer will automatically disable the onboard video card and then once computer is up run the setup disc for the new video card and install all the software for it and you;re ready to go now.

I have a intel dg33bu.Have a look at the internel fans.Are they clean.
The processor fan and heat sink need to be clean of dust and dirt.
Last- It may be a good idea to put some fresh thermal paste on the processor.
What you are describing sounds like a heat issue,runs,heats up then shuts down.
